    Cool, I reckon I could probably do a direct train by meself. Saying that, my DD keeps threatening to come with me :rolleyes:

    Bristol is very easy to get to from anywhere so none of those excuses. Even you Scots can fly very cheaply - about £20 each way from Belfast/Edinburgh/Glasgow.

    They are also on a main train line

    It would cost me more than that to get to the airport:mad:

    And i would never fly on my own...thats far too scary for me:o

    Venue wise there are a few good weatherspoons - one in the town centre, but the street its on can be rowdy on the weekend or one up Park Street which is a bit more studenty...

    Or there are some lovely bars (less cheap) on the waterfront - especially the Arnofini (sp?) bar which is my favourite...althoguh there's a lovely pub just round the corner (over the road by the bridge) which I can never remember the name of thats good too :D These places are great for sunny summers :D
