I'd travel from Manchester Becky, but I'm not exactly a seasoned traveller. Went on a train on Saturday on my own for the first time ever :rotfl:
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Spud there is a train goes direct from Manchester to Bristol City Centre, so no changes and no reason for you to get lost :) £65 return but if you booked well in advance it would be much cheaper

Yep as Sally says its a direct train from Manchester Piccadilly to Bristol Temple Meads - I usually pay about £25 return for that booked in advance - its Virgin Trains so pretty cheap in advance!
