I rang sky today and they said that they dont arrange new line connections i had heard that they did, we are currently with sky but moving to a new house so need a telephone line. Do you mind telling me what phone number you rang and also how long did it take before they came out to install the line.
Thanks0 -

Thanks
I had the same problem with Sky. At first the sales team would deny all knowledge of
Sky line or Sky providing new line. So then I been passed around few department,
The department you need to speak to is Sky Talk team. Ask for Sky talk team or
Sky new line activation team. There's various department with in Sky's vast
confusing system. I can understand why the sale's team may deny at first cos of them
having to pay Opeanreach for the new line they'll install on behalf of Sky. But be
persistent on you asking Sky for a new line. Sky talk team is your man.
This is the number I got from their website but even if you call their standard number
and ask for the relevant department then you should get to them.
Sky Talk team: 08442 411 076
Hope this helps.0 -

They do and they confirm it in their T&C.
" If you do not have a BT compatible phone line (e.g. if you have a cable phone line), we can arrange for installation of a new phone line providing extensive new engineering work over and above standard needs is not required. We will confirm the charge (if any) for your new phone line installation at the time of booking.
If we do arrange a new phone line installation for you, we will confirm the installation date to you in writing. If you want to re-arrange the date, you must give us at least 3 working days' notice. If you cancel the installation on less than 3 working days' notice, or you are not at your Address to give the engineer access to your property or, if you fail to make the necessary arrangements for the installation to take place, we will charge you a fee to compensate us for the reasonable costs we incur as a result. Details of the arrangements you need to make for an engineer visit and of the fee are available on the Sky Talk website (www.sky.com/skytalk) or by calling Sky Customer Services on 08442 410 400."

They will supply a new line for existing TV Customers who dont have a BT compatible phone line who want to take Sky Talk and Broadband.0 -
billsavings, how do you get them to provide a line as an existing customer?
I've not got a phone line that I can use for sky talk (only line is business and company won't let me touch that account so can't do anything with that or use the phone or broadband thats on it either) so just called sky to ask about them fitting a phone line so I can have sky talk and broadband and no joy at all. Keep getting told they will only do it for new customers as it is a trial and existing customers tough luck.
I even ended up saying my only option then is going to virgin media as BT want £122 to fit an extra line and still they wouldn't budge just told me how to cancel.
I really don't want to be without my sky so very wary of actually putting cancellation in place and ending up with no sky TV.
