Makes me wish I had a tumble dryer just to try all these ideas out but I guess that's not so money saving as a good ole' fashioned washing line ;D
So do the bounce sheets really work to repel mozzys? Does anyone know? I asked this on Cathys Mozzy thread a few days ago as I had heard of it before but on-one's replied ???Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!0 -
OMG!! I cant believe all these things to do with Bounce sheets!!!
i have been using quite a lot of them this summer, what with it being so wet.
the only things i never hang out on the line these days are towels. i find they come out much softer in the dryer. I hate drying myself on towels that feel like cardboard!! :-[
i will defo try out making my own when my box runs out!! great idea! thanks
just wish Asda made their own brand............ :-/If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all0 -

* cough
If you are the owner of 100 J cloths
sew them together and make a jaunty bedspread for when guests come, they will be impressed.
make a tent
make a dress
make curtains
impregnate them with softener and make scenty awning for your caravan ;D ;D ;D ;D
Or use them to wrap your joint of meat or chicken/turkey.You won't need to baste it and for those that still the crackling of pork - this comes out a treat
It's gotta be a j-cloth though, none of these spongy cloths will do!
Needless to say, it's got to be a clean one ::)0 -
does that really work chris, or am i being slow and you're joking??0
-
No it truly does. An American relative gave me the tip and I wasn't entirely convinced but it worked with a chicken. I tried a leg of pork and couldn't believe how crispy the crackling came out. We had to throw it away though, as none of us eat it..... But it looked nice! ;D
The only thing ....you have to make sure to take the cloth off soon after taking out of the oven, otherwise it gets stuck to the meat.0 -
got a piece of pork for w/end, will give that a try. ::)0
