I am come from Barnton near winnington, and my dad worked all his life at walerscote, or IcI/brunner mond. Brine was produced at winnington, but there are a lot of mines underneath Northwich and Castle that go all the way to Winsford. Did you know that Polythene was invented in Winnington too. It was invented in the building that use to house The go karting and night club.
Dont really know why i am telling you all this, suppose its because my hometown got a mention on such a great site.0 -
I once dated a woman who worked in an estate agency. It didn't last long. Whenever I took her out for a meal she would complain I should be spending more on her. She also seemed to think she got more beautiful with every passing day, and constantly reminded me about the long list of other blokes who were interested in her - some of whom had already viewed and were in a far better position to proceed than I was.
I called it a day when she tried to persuade me to invest in 'some improvements' she wanted to make to her 'bay window', which she thought would increase her value. I saw her the other day. She's looking a little tired and haggard now, and hasn't had a date in months. Thankfully, there are lots of other women on the market just now and, because of that, I think she'll be open to a night on the sofa with a fish and chip supper and a romcom DVD, if I pitch my offer right. Should I bother, though?Debt free since September 080 -
It really depends on the size of her front porch, so to speak.I once dated a woman who worked in an estate agency.

Don't touch her with a bargepole if she's had 'an extension'

Just thought it was time to breathe life into this old thread. A small estate agent in Cheshire called the market right, and the hpc mob jump up and down on his head !!
It's kinda funny now looking back on it !0 -

Even though I despise the rag - I think no-one can deny that they were right on the money with this

As it stands right now Feb/March was the bottom of the market and I make that call 100% right.0

I love this sort of stuff from the bears: “Yes, well maybe I was wrong then, but one day I won’t be”
Face the facts – the property crash of 2008 is well and truly over. There might be a few wobbles once interest rates start to rise, but we are back on a well established northward trajectory.0 -
know where you are coming from with this and do you appreciate your even-handedness on the whole but I haven't seen anything thats changed my mind much re the housing market (the contributory factors still not really changed imo - tho unchanged factors can obv support both a bullish and a bearish pov).
just faced a few facts right now but not really feeling the established northward trajectory thing imoPrefer girls to money0
