funnily enough, the daily express also announced the bottom of the market in todays edition, including (with no tonge in cheek) the famous "only way is up now". The most alarming thing about this recession/housing slump is so called experts ability to forget recent history.

In my 40 years in propety I am used to reading "Now is the time to buy" every single week for each of 40 years. It is stories put out by those with an interest in stimulating the market.

There is light at the end of the tunnel, but it's a train coming in the opposite direction.

Snapped yesterday in a little place called Winnington in Cheshire:
    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=winnington&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=19.406082,39.375&ie=UTF8&ll=53.26624,-2.533164&spn=0.019122,0.038452&z=15

Look at the size of the place, now bear in mind that there are over 15 Estate or letting agents on the Solway Road area.

But Coulby seem to be the guys in the know. :o

I wonder what they will say when Halifax publish on Thursday, and it's down over 2%, unless it's been [strike]Brown[/strike], I mean seasonally adjusted.:rotfl:

Winnington was famous for its salt production, so I'd suggest more than a pinch of it before reading this agent's ramping drivel.

    [strike]Coulby[/strike] Conniving Conduct, more like.

They and the Daily Mail called the bottom about a year ago as well!

Winnington is about a mile from Northwich, where the Salt Museum is.
Winnington Works, though it is now a chemical plant, used to produce brine.
    I rest my case.
