On their online account it not only gives me the current interest rate for my account only, but I can also look at all the previous rates and it is very easy to access.

(For people who have an egg online account it's at the top centre of the page when you are viewing your account, below where it says your account number, click on the orange writing where it says 'historical interest rates')

This is a good example of what the other banks should be doing.
I have generally found that my other accounts make it quite complicated to find out, not clear at all ... so I've signed up to the petition too!! Great idea!

For me, Tesco is the worst.

Yes - it's in cr*p league of its own.

Where? Please please tell me! I can't see it, and it seems no-one else on this thread can either!
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

I have been complaining to my online banks for years about this. Halifax always used to show the current rate of interest on your savings accounts. Not so sure it does now.
Northern Rock do email as soon as the rates change. The worst is Alliance and Leicester.
Most banks have you trawling through a maze of accounts and it's even worse if your savings account is now a closed issue.
I have signed up so good luck and I hope the banks take note. Be upfront and be honest!!

Get this for my credit card, but not savings.

They do, I just checked. I'm receiving 0.1% on 4 quid in my websaver :-)

Nomad25, this applies to new accounts. I don't care what interest rate applies to new accounts - I want to know what interest rate applies to my account.
