Huge congratulations to sarah and to pigpen again, now I know the details! Tremendously proud of you both!!!

Hugs to kaz and OH, and also to G&B and your DD, also rosepink.

I'm sneaking in and out again, as really tired after day at school followed by dept meeting...I'll catch up tomorrow. (I did half the main bedroom...)

Positive vibes please for 10.40 tomorrow - I have root canal treatment at the dentist, and I really don't like going...

Toots - can I have some stars please? I've finished the last few bits (didn't go to yoga as I really need an early night tonight), after eating and a quick S&S of the kitchen. I'm going to put some washing on so it can go on the airer before I go to bed, but really want an early night tonight... just need to put away all the lovely ironed washing that I've just taken out of the airing cupboard and potter about doing a few bits. I haven't yet decided whether to have a swim or go to the gym in the morning, but it needs to be one or the other.

Oops... that's just reminded me that I need to do my physio now so I can fit one more set in before bedtime :o - I'll put the washing on first though!

yes scaredy cat i was wondering what the forum changes are too!!! will have to check this out unless some of the others can tell us.
valli well done - what a busy day -but obviously your flying is paying off as its possible to keep it looking good now.
mumoffour77 thats great that they are pleased with DD and that you all had lovely visits with DH - you must be exhausted - never doubt yourself as a special Mum.
kazm positive vibes for DH tomorrow - doesnt sound good about you - be a good patient and rest - there is obviously something going on that they need to sort you out with. (((hugs)))
grateful for help dont expect sooo much of yourself at the beginning - aim to achieve level 1 everyday for at leaast 2 weeks then add in some more of level 2 and so on - it does get easier but it takes time and routines and effort- there are loads of us who dont get stars - the whole idea of the thread is to help you get into a routine and not spend all weekend doing housework - anything done by anybody in the house counts - its only right that the others do a bit.

soappie I made your lemon chicken and it was fab - thank you and I had rhubarb crumble.

have cooked mostly from scratch my tea
have also done 4 jacket potatoes for the freezer while the oven was on (thanks lil_me xx)
filled up the DW and its on
S&S kitchen again - cooking is messy!!!!
spoke to best mate for1 hour!
caught up with you guys and the stars

    coffee now and the news.
    toots xx

    Evening everyone.

I didnt get up till 6pm when the cat started pawing my face as he wanted feeding.

Took mum out for a short walk this morning. First time she has been out this year.

Just want to share this. My DD has really surprised me and its not often Im speechless. For years she has not done anything and suffered from depression. Up until last week she never walked anywhere relying on lifts etc. Not even to local shop. Anyway in the last month she has started looking for work and done a course. But the biggy is she has started walking. Its 20 mins from hers to main street and she is doing this and walking back. On Monday she walked to the next village and back. Then tonight she has told me she is going to the Stop smoking clinic tomorrow. Plus she is booked for a smear. Im just gobsmacked but very proud of her.

Tonight I have made tea and also a quiche, hoovered and tidied. I have a heavy bout of shifts this week. Im working tomorrow Sunday and Monday as well.

lil_me Glad DS1s review went well.

rosepink Big hugs and positve vibes for your work situation.

Crafty Thats good news about your friend.

Soappie Glad to hear the cat got rescued and it was nice of him not to charge. Well done on getting the proposal finished.

    LL thinking of you tomorrow.

kazmeister Big hugs and hope you feel better soon. Positive vibes for OH.

    Valli Wow well done!

g&b Hugs for you and LO.

Right off to dry dishes then showered and bed for me.

???????????????????????????? imagining forms camping outside an office. I think I have forms camping in my house, I need to get rid of them! They have their own little tent and everything!

Boddy, that's so great about your DD. Walking will actually make her feel better depression wise, but making yourself do it is the hardest part. I think I need to take a leaf out of her book and get more exercise.
Going to do a bit of washing up now

  • ToottiFrootti, thanks so much for your kindness.

boddy, saw some brilliant cartoons about depression in the big issue (bought it cos the person selling it had his dog on a campbed to keep him off the cold floor!) they really hit home, excerpts from a book called "living with the black dog" anyway, one of the cartoons was headed "exercise robs the black dog of it's power" and it's so true.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

forgot to say, got the school newsletter today and they are doing another car boot sale but this time instead of me standing there for three hours making about £5 they have decided that we can donate our unwanted stuff to the PTA and they will sell it on their stall, making money for the school, .........sounds good to me(I have a black bag of toys in the spare room waitin to go somewhere, so they will go to the school!!!!
Also they have a new scheme where they send home bags for old clothes and they get money when the clothes are recycled(by weight).............flying????????????? I will have NO carp in this house(eventually) and the school can raise some much needed money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
