I FINALLY blagged myself a place at uni.

Oh..and I wasn't celebrating I have been at college and the list is now up!!!!

    Well you should celebrate - well done you! :T :T :T :T
They obviously thought you were up for it as it's hard to pass interviews for that type of stuff unless you have what it takes, way to go pigpen!:T :T :T (and good luck with the driving too...)

SarahS - Well done on the job front too - that just has to be the best job in the world for you - advising kids about stuff - I can see you doing it now, no answering back coming your way!!!!! :rotfl: Very well done! :T :T :T

It's so good to hear good news for once, and lots of it too...

I am about to do bathroom as I have to have a quick shower before I go to work, so will clean around in there while I'm there... House is still a tip, didn't get a chance the other day as work took over (it's taking over my life at the moment.
I am going to take a leaf out of Pigpens book and get a cleaner - my DD - work going well so I can afford to pay her a bit and she's out of work until April when she starts back at the hospital (has to wait for her training) not all of it, just enough so I can keep on top of it I think.

She's also decided that she's going back to college to study her fashion/design course. she's dyslexic and although she passed all her exams, she didn't get high enough grades to do it first time around, so she did a BTEc diploma which qualified her, but then she thought she had to go to work instead, but has now gone back to what she loves and I'm so proud of her - not many do that, I know I didn't, and at 19 most are thinking of settling down (round here anyway) so to plan for college for 2 years and then Uni is great - and she really wants it now so all good.

DS had a science exam yesterday - he said he knew all the answers because we had revised them together and they were the same ones as we revised (or very similar - funny, revision is like that eh!) but still chuffed as he has realised that revising is good!
His Teacher thinks he can re-sit in June if he does well enough to bring his grades up from what they were last year, so lots to do with him still, but seems to be knuckling down well at the moment, shame he didn't do it before but all good now I suppose. Kids, don't you just want to get in their heads and sort it all out for them...

Sorry, lots of waffle, hope everyone well, speak to you all later.

Woke up earllier to aWinter Wonderland - very much a snow day! Don't know if my Dressmaking Course will be running (curse of living in the rurals!), but (silver lining) may have more time to catch up on yesterdays list. Will edit later to post list, right now off to declutter hair and a cup of tea.....

Need to add "sort ot airing cupboard" to extras - got fresh Duvet Cover from it yesterday, and was pounced upon by contents.

    Mornin all
Have spent most of this week sorting out stuff, so I can start 'proper' next week. Where does all the junk come from . Does anyone have any suggestions for photos? have 3 boxes full, if I put them in albums they would take up even more room.
