Holiday to-do list updated.
Chase up letter to Northern Rock done - they have agreed that my loan PPI was mis-sold, then tried to fob me off with a lower refund than I was due (loan has been paid off in full) - I suspect that the reclaim has now gone above the level at which they should just have said "Oh, alright then!" and they are desparately trying to avoid having to pay - sadly their tactics currently seem to involve ignoring my letters! On a better financial note £60 which I was due on cashback for the camera I bought last year has arrived so I must get to pay that in at the weekend. I have some cashbags to get paid into the Nationwide too so I expect OH and I will go together to do the whole lot.
Two trays of granola made to take to work for breakfasts.

Emily - you're doing well love. How are you feeling?
I'm okay thanks Soappie. How are you?
My aims for tomorrow are to do errands, laundry, wash up & empty bins if needed, and in the master bedroom change bedding, vacuum & turn mattress, wash window, hoover, dust & wipe paintwork. This sounds like a lot but I don't have much stuff in there so it's quite realistic. A couple of questions. Firstly, how often do you wash things like curtain, duvets & pillows & does Pigpen remind you to do this? And secondly, I changed my bedding ealier on my bed in the spare room, but I've not turned or vacuumed the mattress, so should I do this tomorrow? It's only about a month old0 -
Night all, welcome to all new to the thread and (((Hugs))) to all who needs them.
Hi liberty :hello: how are you feeling?
Congrats pigpen that’s great news and fully funded as well WTG.
Happy for you SS you have done well.
Yr 9 reports have me falling asleep but with the deadline looming I daren’t put it off any longer. I have been flying and winning but it is all seeming like never ending work at the moment.
DS parents evening had me a bit nervous as it was the first time I’ve been on the other side of the table. It went better then I anticipated so I can relax now. I thought I would be told that he was lively and hard work or poorly adjusted because I don’t spend enough quality time with him something like that but she was kind. She did say ‘not to alarm you but he does like dressing up in the colourful bits and heads straight for the play house every morning’ meaning that he like wearing the dresses and playing in the kitchen. :rotfl: :rotfl: Hope he’s flying well. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Still to come is yr 10 parent evening. I have tried to squeeze all my appointment before 6pm with a few just after so I’ll see how early I can finish. I will be glad when its over as it’s the last of the parent evenings I think. The next time consuming bits are the full reports but that I can do from home so not too bad.
Little by little I am taking back control. Its still two steps forward and one step backwards but I am thankful for the small step.
When I did the bath this week I really descaled and shined the taps. DH commented on how new it all looked and asked what I used. I told him elbow grease in a matter of fact way but I was pleased. I’m not doing it to please him but it’s far better than the regular complaints over my excessive clutter.
Well back to the grindstone to hopefully finish my yr 9 reports.
Happy flying
irieThe work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.0 -

I reckon mattresses need turning every three months or so, and I tend to vacuum mine when it's turned, or more often if the hoover is out when the bed is stripped. Re bedding, personally ours gets done once a fortnight - I think it's really personal preference though. Remember when turning a mattress to do "top to toe" as well as side to side. Curtains get washed.....errr.....sometimes! :rotfl:🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I have just has a new mattress delivered, so can quote from the paperwork:
When lifting or turning your mattress slide it towards you a lift it by holding it from underneath. Never fold it in half or bend it. Turning the mattress frequently over the first few months will allow the fillings to settle evenly. You should alternate by turning the mattress from side to side and end to end. Thereafter you should turn the mattress monthly0 -
