New problem now guys - I've started getting undesireable emails - is this coincidence or possibly related - never happened before and I've not 'signed' up for anything.

RIK I do want to remove the register just not using Zango's own site.

Would it work if we backed up documents and picutes to an external drive and then DH reinstalled windows from scratch?

Id say the email thing is sheer coincidence. May I ask what they are and which email system you use?

Reluctant should be able to remove it for you.

Installing windows from scratch is sure to work, though a little overkill. May as well see how reluctant performs (ale permitting :p)

RIk the emails are 'for nights of passion' and I use Outlook. Could it be that AVG was filtering them out and that Avira isn't?

AVG doesnt use spam filtering. It does have an email scanner, but it would tell you if youd been sent a virus.

If the emails legit, you should be able to unsubscribe by following the link it provides

No RIK it is just one of those click here ones and each time comes from a different 'person' and the title is different each time I guess to make it harder to fliter out? I'm just deleting them at present.

They are all from MAX Gentleman

RIK a womans work is never done. I've got 3 kids and wanted some peace so tried to get up without any of them realising - it didn't work!

I have now found out that when DS1 got the virus requests were coming up on the zone alarm for access and he was saying remember setting and allow! I really do dispair.

Id suggest removing ALL the program settings for zonealarm and starting again

Or uninstall and reinstall it (Though you may have problems with that)

Or uninstall and install another in its place (I use PCTOOLs firewall)

RIK OH has been through ZoneAlarm and removed anything he does not recognise as needing to be there. I'm going to run spybot now to see what it picks up this morning. There were a few Zango entries on the zone alarm.
