Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 51 - Post your finds here

Went to Newcastle today, quite a waste of time really.
Checked all 4 stores in the city centre (Eldon Sq Large store and smaller store, store at the top of the Bigg market and Northumberland St store) not an artists pallette to be seen. Did get a free bag voucher from the ACM, and the SA told me if you re-use the bag in boots you get AC points each time (kind of like Tescos, not sure how many points you get tho!)
Got reduced pore refining serum, a few bits & pieces for my mam for her holiday, a nail buffer kit (free with perkie), but no bargains.
Went to Silverlink on the way home, no pallettes there either. Took my free foundation sample voucher out of Marie Claire mag to the Lancome counter, and ended up letting the lady on the counter doing my whole makeup - foundation, concealer, highlighter, blusher and powder, and lip gloss! And walked away with a 7 day foundation sample to try myself and a list of the other stuff she'd used!:T
I've never had Lancome stuff before, but once I convinced myself I didn't look orange (she used more foundation than I'd usually use) I found myself quite impressed with what she'd done. Particularly liked the Melon juicy tube!:j Lancome stuff is expensive though, so I'm hoping someone on here can tell me they regularly do 3 for 2, or 1000pts offer, or GWP, or other stuff like Clinique etc usually do. Please tell me there'll be offers if I wait to buy this stuff, I could justify it to myself as a bargain then!
One more question - has anyone seen any of the No7 reduced pallettes anywhere in Tyneside/county Durham recently? (ie today/yesterday?) I really want one, and as I'm off work this week could make a trip further afield than I usually would. Thinking about Metrocentre tomorrow, but if anyone's been recently and it's a waste of time I'd rather know now than be on here cursing my wasted trip tomorrow night!  TIA
Wanted also to take the chance to say thanks to the people who were posting at the end of last week about not keeping good stuff that we get on offers, and just using it every day instead because we deserve it. I read this today before going out and really needed to cheer myself up, after a lousy week at work last week, and this really struck a chord with me. I've got bags full of good stuff from boots - cosmetics, bath stuff, etc and I hoard it all. Well not any more - I'll start with my sanctuary stuff in the shower tomorrow morning!:j :rotfl: :TOS weight loss challenge: 4.5/6 lbs0 -

SNIPPED
Again, apologies for the long post...:o
Please don't apologise for an informative post - I really enjoy reading about people's shopping trips, and the more detail the better! Thanks!0 -
Our store Ipswich had some notices about a pamper evening for mums n daughters for mothers day not sure when but worth a look if near boots
it said makeovers freebies etc0 -
OK, last question for tonight, I promise: does anyone know if it's possible to use the purkies on other No7 accessories than have already been listed? I was thinking of the exfoliating face sponges (would be free as under a fiver)

Hi,
I have recently been to one of these evenings and I thought it was really good, only couple of hours and we all had great time, makeup demo, make overs, freebies, raffle, wine and buffet, nail bar. Well worth a visit if you can make it. Made me more confident to approach the premium brand SAs too.

I have used my perkies on every No7 accessory that I have managed to find!
Got those face sponges, and the cosmetic sponges that are the same price - all free!;)0 -

Just a quick update on the L'oreal cream that left my face burning. I rung Loreal and they will refund the items. I also rung boots and they ask me to pass on the creams for testng. I am please at least that they are sorting it out.
