I had visions of Mr B reading this thread over the past couple of days, realising that he was selling safety hazards, and instructing his staff to go and put this safety message on all the mirrors on sale! :rotfl:

I got a NO 7 compact yesterday and it had a little sticker on the mirror saying that, Must admit I thought the same as you. Amazed at how quick Mr B works:rotfl:he must have had his people working through the night within the stores to put all those stickers on :p:rotfl:
now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it :o

Also Mum has a temp card at the mo, I know she can collect points with this but is she able to spend them form this card or will she have to wait for permenant card to arrive.

    TIA

She'll have to wait for the permanent one to arrive. I've got the same problem. I lost my AC last weekend and have a temp one until mine arrives. I've registered it in DS's name. It'll be interesting to see if he gets any different vouchers.

Didn't go up to the big city yesterday, so went Bootsing fairly locally.

Got off to a bad start when the SA - very apologetically - told me I couldn't use the perkies on the reduced Stay Perfect foundations. She started reading the T&Cs on the back - still apologetically, and sounding almost terrified. So I followed CPG's advice in the first post of the thread, and accepted it graciously.

"What a shame!" I said, in a disappointed tone of voice. "Well, I won't manage to buy all of these then" - in an even more disappointed, and slightly embarrassed, tone of voice, as I put back four foundations.

Now, I don't know whether the SA felt sorry for me; felt guilty about saying 'no' to the foundations; or had only been briefed about 'no foundations with perkies!' (because she had quite clearly been briefed about it - that came across in the way she reacted to the sight of the perkies lying bside the foundations! :rotfl: ).

The outcome for me was a very helpful SA, dealing with multiple transactions, which included:

    - 2 x extracts body butters @ 4.89, using ACM voucher and magazine voucher both times. Plus a packet of Boots tissues to make the purchase up to 5.00+ each time - getting two more perkies.

    - 2 x Olay GWP - one purchased with the Definity illuminating cream cleanser; the other purchased with the pore refining scrub thingie. Two more perkies.

    - 2 x No7 make-up purses with blusher brush and compact mirror. 6.50 minus perkie, so 1.50 each. Didn't make it up to 5.00 per shop because I can't think that fast :o

I might go back and see if I can get a couple more of those little purses because they'd be perfect to stockpile for birthday presents for DD's age group - especially once I start stockpiling some no 17 make up to go in them!

Had a bit of a twilight zone moment however when I toook out the compact mirror. On the magnifying side (one look into that, and I wished I'd bought TWO of the pore refining scrub thingies!! :o ) it said:

Keep your eyes peeled as some stores are selling these bags for 50p now.

That's interesting. It worked for me yesterday (outside the big cities), even though the SA was clearly clued up about not allowing the No 7 Stay Perfect foundation with a perkie.

I wonder if the foundation + perkie combination WOULD have been accepted by the till?

And the Olay GWP went through with two of the cheap products, even though the store was advertising them as being free with the purchase of a moisturiser or eye cream ( the far more expensive products).

I feel like I'm playing a game of Cluedo here, trying to figure out how Mr B's mind is working!! :o :rotfl:

    hi vaz

I was at the fort for a short visit last week. The clearance stand used to be at the back of the store next to the photo shop but I have not seen one there in months now :-(

I have found the fort rather disappointing tbh and one of my least favourite boots. I dont want to put you off this is just my opinion.

On the plus side I managed to get some soap and glory gift bags for free when I was there and also the sa for the ss tills gave me a voucher for spending over £5 even though I paid with points

    Hiya,

I was there end of last week and I saw pretty much nothing in the way of special bargains/clearance items. Sorry! Then again, you just never know..maybe there will be some new bargains around now. The usual GWP around if that is of any interest, the skin analysis with the free samples and the other samples doing the rounds. But nowt to report on clearance items as of last week.

This is becoming quite confusing... visited a small B's out of town y'day and checked again on No7 Compact Foundation as, @ that store, it had a tag of £6.25... price checked @ the tills & it came up @ £6.25 & not £3.18 as I had found on sat... so again, does the price vary from store to store? Or has this been changed on Mr B's tills once again? Unfortunately, didn't check if the Perkie could b used against it as I didn't want 2 pay £6.25 (minus Perkie) for an item I already had & which had been purchased @ 1/2 of that price (& using a Perkie 2!;) )
