A huge, huge thank you to everyone who let us know that Stay Perfect foundation was reduced, and working with the perkie. Even though I missed the big glitch, I'm quite happy with the reductions I got!

I use the compact as my 'off-duty' and relaxed foundation (Maybelline mousse [Fawn] for work - usually bought in Boots, on 342!).

So bought two of 'the usual' [Blonde] Stay Perfect compacts, and one in the liquid version. I liked the coverage of the liquid version, compared to the compacts (but the mousse is easier to apply in a hurry, IMO ;) ). But it's still definitely one I'll use for work (on the mornings I'm organised :rotfl: ) or when I go out.

BTW, I had a Tena lady moment reading about the youngsters who have the 'orange look'. I remember the days when I overcompensated for my porcelain skin, and ended up tangoed!

Then I went through a sensible phase where I bought foundations which actually matched my pale skin. God bless Mr Boots!

To my horror (I quite liked being stereotyped as 'pale and interesting' :o ) my skin tone has darkened as I grow older - so I now use shades like 'blonde' and 'fawn'. (Remember the 'song' about always using sunscreen? Please listen to it and follow its advice!!!)

Very soon, I may need that orange tone after all :o (that icon is too pink!!). At which point I shall start to wear purple (and a red hat), like the poem says ;) . Hmmm (looks at wardrobe) - I may already be there...

And I will remember - with even more nostalgia - the days when I could sigh that 'Ivory' foundation was 'too dark' .

But. through all of those stages of my life (and changes in complexion) Mr B has supplied me with a foundation in the correct shade :T

(The occasions when I didn't buy that shade are entirely my fault, and a good example of why it's not a good idea to follow fashion slavishly. And an incentive to learn how to say 'No!' to ladies trying to sell you something which will make you look 'sunkissed' . Who knew that - in beauty circles- 'looks sunkissed' is a synonym for 'has been sandblasted'? :rotfl:

I think everyone should have a read of this post on Refugee's.......

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=19408639&postcount=245

I've read it now. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

    I may answer tomorrow.

Apart from anything else, it would give me the opportunity to answer questions which were asked of me - directly or indirectly - in the closed thread. I could also address accusations made against me - and others.

Should I wish to do so.

Then again, I may not respond to it at all. If I decide to adopt the view that we should "move the f*** on".

But that's a personal view. "Everyone" will decide for themselves whether or not they have to read that post, and how they will react if they do so.

It might help people decide what they want to/should do, if they knew why you felt that 'everyone' on this thread should have a read of a post on the Boots chatters thread?

One which has no particular Boots reference (so apologies to others here for continuing the off-topic digresion :o ).

I am happy to wear Boots-purchased, orange-toned fondation as a penance, if needs be.

    Hi ballet shoes.
A couple of days ago I bought the bergamot mini using the ACM 150 points and the new mag voucher also 150 points- went through the manned tills and scanned fine but have since found that the ACM is not giving me any more coupons for the new extracts range.hth xx
I'm sorry if this is obvious :doh:but have I missed something ? :o Does the Mag Extract voucher work with the Mediterranean range as well as the Extracts range ? (Is it just the Med. body butters or the whole range ?). Thanks ! :D

Well I for one, as a newbie, was helped immensely by Broclo and Pash with advice and sending vouchers through the post etc (which on hearing about Broclo's life in particular is quite amazing - finding time to help out people she doesn't even know when she has so much going on at home).

It's quite clear some people on here are very close and there are "groupings" of sorts, but that's never made me feel pushed out or intimidated. I thought it was a very friendly place here.

    Hi

Trying to catch up with this thread after being out last night.

Can see some vague mentions of the £3.50 Foundation which I managed to get 2 for £7 using the perkie yesterday. Am I right in thinking this was an error and it has gone back up to £7 today?

Sorry, don't mean to be lazy but rushing off to work now and I told my colleagues about the offer yesterday and would just like to update them.

    Many thanks.
