ebico dual fuel and meter reads
hi, started the ball rolling a couple of weeks ago to move my gas to ebico.
and now im considering moving my electric to them as im having no response from scottish power.
with regards to having both fuels with ebico, do you have 2 different account numbers? 1 for each fuel.
im just curious as to how it works in case i have to enter meter reads on the meterline for an updated/accurate bill.
cheers

We switched to Ebico in the summer and it took about 5 weeks for complete transfer.0

switched gas 2 weeks ago, only had an email off them so far0

You will have two accounts with Ebico if you take both gas and electric from them.
After the initial communication from them all further correspondence, billing, meter reads etc will be from Southern Electric.
At the moment Ebico is uncompetitive for electricity even for low users so I'd be cautious about going to them. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Ebico is still competitive with their electricity prices for low users.0

Thanks for the heads up.
Price of EquiGas and EquiPower to be cut
Following the reductions to the wholesale price of electricity and gas over the past few months, I’m delighted to announce that, from the end of this month, the cost of both EquiGas and EquiPower will be reduced. EquiPower will be reduced by an average of 9% and EquiGas by 2.5%. This means that the average dual fuel customer will see bills reduced by 5.5%. The new EquiGas price is 3.675p/kWh (including VAT) and the new EquiPower prices can be found here.

I take my gas from you and am a little disappointed by the 2.5% reduction.

Since, Penrhyn, you have already incorrectly suggested that Ebico is uncompetitive for electricity users with a low consumption (#6) I suspect it is more your arithmetic that is causing you disappointment.0
