    We have been using the Pizza Hut vouchers for our kids swimming for the last few months...........

    Just e-mailed my council in Teignbridge to see if there is a scheme for us too.

    I dont know about other councils...but Liverpool city council have a thing called an "early bird swim" were if go at 8am in the morning, to any of their leisure centres with a pool - you get an hours swim for free!
    Great if you are seeking to get fit in this current recession ;)
    The added bonus is...if they have no events on after 9am, they dont tell you to get out the pool, so you just carry on swimming for as long as you can - all day if need be? :money:

    I don't think it's limited to just Liverpool.
    Saw a post here on MSE the other day - free swimming in council run leisure centres. I'll have a search and get back.

    That is what I thought, how can the government anounce that it will be free, and then the councils say no it wont.

    My council is on the list, but I searched their site and no mention of free swimming. Will phone them tomorrow.
