I may apply for RBS card just to then go to CAG and get my debt written off, sod em! Thats what they have done - got in debt then went crawling to the government/taxpayer for help. RBS/Hbos are a joke and I hope they both go under.

Agreed - actually - NO - perhaps we should have been asked if we wanted our tax to go to such a useless cause. It makes me sick that these fools get the same salary when they relying on our taxes and still getting paid silly money with our tax money!

If I was PM i'd be saying to the fat cats - work for £25k per annum or we'll reposses your house and savings as part of your mis management in the past. I have no sympathy for any w a n k e r s (or even bankers)

Haha. I wish. They should be made to have their assets seized, declare themselves bankrupt, and taken to jail. Like you, i don't have much sympathy either. Unfortunately no one have any faith in the justice system here, so sadly i think they will just disappear into thin air never to be seen again!

Yea, my sentiments exactly. Well spoken.

The most annoying thing is the fact that they do not need to be earning such silly salaries - did you know the boss of Hbos earns (wait for it) 11 times what our Prime Joker (sorry PM) earns! That is a joke. Makes me mad, but then again i'll vote with my feet and vote tories or bnp (bnp sounds a good plan right now!)

After all, we are simply "British" not "Proud to be British"

Nice idea, we could have had a referendum whilst the banking system collapsed around us.

I don't want to get drawn into this debate however I'm not sure some of the colourful language is a good idea. I agree the bankers have caused all of this; however I also think it is a two way street. If individuals didn't get drawn into the credit lifestyle in the first place, the bankers wouldn't have been able to cause as many problems. I'm not on one side of this debate or the other.

Also, I'm not having a go at people that have unexpected circumstances and get into debt, or people that are trying to support their businesses; I'm referring to those that have enjoyed the finer material things in life and forget that they have to pay things back.
