it can be really hard being a student, single mum, only bread winner in your household, often you want a break and live life, OK - people have to pay it back with interest - I have been up and down but always ensured I never went too far - I wouldn't call people stupid, just careless or carefree sometimes - I don't regret getting into debt at certain times of my life because I enjoyed myself and it was well worth it
keep up the good work, I expect we need steady people like you to bring us down to earth :kisses3:
I really think you need to stop being clever - ask the question you want and we will try and help you. Being clever doesn't suit you much and certainly won't help your cause in future - already questioning whether you're a TROLL.... still to decide..?

as a matter of interest to everyone, I will keep you all posted on the progress of my appeal
Thats what i like to see someone who will come back and update
so many people on forums get advice and then never come back and update
Best of luck girl0 -

No1 is having a go at you, if you read my earlier post I stuck up for you against Proliant but then again sometimes we can all go off the rails and mouth off. Actually the more posts from Proliant I read the more I am beginning to understand and respect the guy. He does help, maybe not for your issues but he does help - plenty of others agree with me here and to be honest you're fighting a losing battle.
Instead of having a go at us, just ask your questions and don't get drawn into what everyone says to you. Some will be useful whilst others will not.
If you want to see the difference between comsumer action and consumer revenge as you call it, then look into CAG (Consumer Action Group) - I am a member at CAG but realise I cannot compare the two sites nor can I refer to it on here because they are totally different in that this site tries to save you money whilst CAG tries to help you beat the system and get out of paying your debts using legal loopholes etc.
Sorry if you think i'm also having a go, i'm not. I'm just trying to let you know maybe you're barking up the wrong tree when you refer to consumer action. This is consumer action in the sense of lets all stick together and share useful money saving tips - not lets beat the system cos someone forgot to put a full stop in the terms. You get where i'm coming from, right?
hey you are one of my favourite people on here, loved your input last night
if you read the whole thread you would see the culprits but I must say a few who were very snotty at first did apologise and I have warmed to them
remember it was Martin Lewis who told us all to fight the banks to get the massive charges refunded a couple of years ago - he still updates my email with news on that situation - seems they are losing that battle but I doubt they will have the funds to return any more charges

Haha - thanks! As I said i'm not having a go, just trying to help you out.... there seems to be a lot of trouble lately so just be careful - thats all i'm saying
I know the culprits you mean, I did stick up for you remember - but some people will never agree with you, if so just move on to next one. Dont always respond, miss the silly ones out.
I know but Martin Lewis doesn't say argue about a missing date to get £50k written off, he promotes "doing the right thing". Go to CAG, several of us are there and use same names - others use different names but you still know who is who with the terms and comments we use
anyway... g'night, have fun and good luck! :kisses:

thats your opinion - thought you were OK but resorting to name-calling is low
I am not trying to be clever
its my thread and my experience - people are interested and I will keep them updated - will probably ring the credit card people on Friday - I am taking a day off then to see what they say about lowering my credit limit after I made a big payment
have a good night0 -

Name calling? I'd ask other people what a troll is then read your last few posts. after you've realised that two + two does actually equal 4 then you'll know what I mean.
friendly advice - not name calling.
(Troll = someone who starts arguements on threads then does a runner leaving disarray and trail of arguements)

incorrect, where have I done a runner, I do have to go to work and do other things besides post on here
anyway the Co-Op Visa Card people rang me today on my mobile, they offered to return the credit limit to the original limit due to a letter I sent them first class on Monday but I have refused their kind offer due to the advice I have received on here but that is because I have a new job and a redundancy payout!!
I still warn others that if you think you will be able to pay off a credit card and keep your original credit limit, it probably won't happen and you will have to write in or argue so ensure you can afford to pay that money back to the bank/credit card company because they will take it without telling you or warning you

Hackneygirl you are absolutely right in everything you say.
I have had a Co-Op credit card longer than you have actually and ran my account impeccably. However because I wouldn't open up a current account with them or take out another card with them they completely wiped out all my credit limit that I'd had even through the last rescession. Now it looks as if I have maxed out my card when I haven't. As soon as I can I am dumping the Co-Op and will never give them my business again.0 -
Yet another company to put on the 'avoid' list...0

I am very relieved to hear that you are not a Nationalist. Not that I am aware of, last time I checked I was in Great Brittan, not that I am a nationalist of course.
Especially if you think you are a citizen of Great Brittan (sic)
Even (most of) the BNP can manage to spell Britain - even if they are reading it off their knuckles.
Spelling mistakes are so.......working class, don't you think?0
