Hackneygirl initially put a useful piece of information on MSE and for some reason (probably the weekend and a few tinnies) it brought all the ‘holier than thou’ saints out on parade.
Well saints, if you are so wonderful at handling money and debt-free, and know everything about finance, exactly what are you doing looking at MSE?
i'll continue the paradox - assho!

G'day never-in-doubt, how's you?
As i have said last night, there will be more scandals coming out today about greedy bankers. Look what i have found...

You missed the "i" in Britain.Where?
I can't spell mind you.Yes, PROLIANT is a product from HP and Compaq; I have the pleasure of looking after them on a daily basis.
Proliant is an acronym for "Professionally reliant", just something about the Server.
Also, what you describe above is a Portmanteau, not an Acronym
Sorry to be a pedant. I may come back to this thread with a more substantial contribution later, but right now Big Bird has just gone out so the xbox beckons...
Damn, I've just found another one:MSE = Money Savings Expert
This is not Consumer Action Group.
If you want to join the rest of the angry villagers and start a cou against the banks then this is not the site to do it on.
Did you mean coup - as in coup d'etat? The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.0 -
Same thing normally referred to as overthrowing of a government.bert&ernie wrote: »Did you mean coup - as in coup d'etat?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -

thanks not_loaded, the truth is the "saints" saw my name and decided they would attempt to bully me, well I am "just a woman from Hackney" who must have untold debts, they stereotyped me but they got a shock because they are no better than any of us, they tried to belittle me in respect of my grammer and other digs at me but I am just as good as any of them and will stand up for myself be it online or in real life
instead of picking on us they should be writing letters and doing something about the banks who have used and are still using our money to line their nests
this site is about "consumers revenge" - its on the banner as you log-in
so if any of us has a piece of information that can help others we should be able to post it without any hassle
I must also add I am enjoying this site and have learnt a lot in the last few days from the informative helpful members
oh and today at work we were informed that we have to discount work from three of our large Japanese clients - they have reported the lowest profits ever - its not only the UK!!!0 -

we were debating it last night in rather colourful language, why go to an extreme
PROLIANT - if you feel that way - why on earth are you posting everyday on a Credit Card forum - surely that is the opposite of saving money - taking out a credit card means you will pay interest to the starving banks on every penny you spend

I pay very little interest on my cards as I use them as a financial tool rather than a substitute to a lifestyle that I can't afford, if you are referring to the Sub-Prime thread that I am actively involved in then you should read it in more depth as it is a platform for helping people who struggle to get credit after being either stupid with money in the past or unlucky in one way or another.Hackneygirl wrote: »taking out a credit card means you will pay interest to the starving banks on every penny you spend

well done you,
it can be really hard being a student, single mum, only bread winner in your household, often you want a break and live life, OK - people have to pay it back with interest - I have been up and down but always ensured I never went too far - I wouldn't call people stupid, just careless or carefree sometimes - I don't regret getting into debt at certain times of my life because I enjoyed myself and it was well worth it
keep up the good work, I expect we need steady people like you to bring us down to earth :kisses3:0 -

You're missing the point. No1 is having a go at you, if you read my earlier post I stuck up for you against Proliant but then again sometimes we can all go off the rails and mouth off. Actually the more posts from Proliant I read the more I am beginning to understand and respect the guy. He does help, maybe not for your issues but he does help - plenty of others agree with me here and to be honest you're fighting a losing battle.
Instead of having a go at us, just ask your questions and don't get drawn into what everyone says to you. Some will be useful whilst others will not.
If you want to see the difference between comsumer action and consumer revenge as you call it, then look into CAG (Consumer Action Group) - I am a member at CAG but realise I cannot compare the two sites nor can I refer to it on here because they are totally different in that this site tries to save you money whilst CAG tries to help you beat the system and get out of paying your debts using legal loopholes etc.
Sorry if you think i'm also having a go, i'm not. I'm just trying to let you know maybe you're barking up the wrong tree when you refer to consumer action. This is consumer action in the sense of lets all stick together and share useful money saving tips - not lets beat the system cos someone forgot to put a full stop in the terms. You get where i'm coming from, right?
