Well beginners luck last week to come in under budget as this week i'm over - but only by £4.19p which isn't bad. This weeks aim - to stay within £45.00 budget!!

Hope everyone is well and all mums had a nice day yesterday. It Monday so keep smiling - it'll soon be the weekend again! :j :j

So already £10 over budget this month & my trip to tesco to pick up a few bits and pieces turns into a mammoth shop! I had to buy lots of things like washing power and toiletries so it ended up coming to about £25!!!!

Although there were a lot of offer included in that so even though it's quite a pricey shop it is things that I would have to buy in the next couple of weeks.

I'm actually considering putting most of that shop into the April budget as that's when I'm going to be using most of it!

Hi all, just done our first week's shop on our new GC budget of £65. Managed to get everything on the list and a couple of extras, and underspent by £3! Of course, this assumes we do not need to top up on anything else during the week, but I feel pretty good for a first try! Went to Lidl for most things and Morrisons for the things we couldn't get at Lidl.
Anyone know if Lidl fruit and veg is cheaper than buying it at a greengrocer's?
    Good luck everyone

I buy LIDL fruit and veg. nearly always cheaper and I find the quality is really good.... unless you have an open market... I find it the best place. Sometimes the choice is not as big as the main supermarkets.
I don't get to come on here too often.
    Too buzy money saving!
    :D
  • In under budget this month :j £150.44 of £168.

Can you put me down for £186 for April please?

    Hello,

Just on to update my sig at MrT delivery came today. Only one gripe - the leg of lamb I thought I ordered 1.1kg arrived, but only 660g so will have to be very creative if I am to feed 5 of us with that! Any suggestions gratefully received.... .

Of course I also forgot to order bread rolls, which is really annoying as I went in and edited my order about three times yesterday having realised we needed a couple of extra bits. Popped into C*op before school and got two packs of 12 warburton slice rolls for £2 and the biggest bargain ever - O*ram Duluxstar energy lightbulbs - wait for it wait for it - 5 for 40p!! Yep that's right - they're 99p each but I got 5 for 40p :D . Well pleased with that.

Hope you managed to avoid the rain - why does it ALWAYS rain at school pick up time  .

Not had chance to catch up much lately so just a quick up date.
Hope everyone is doing well this month, somehow i've still got £45 of my budget left so i'm very pleased indeed with how i've managed this month. I should only need milk and fruit for the rest of the month too:D. Just hope next month goes as well as this month:rolleyes:
