Welcome beth.194 :hello:
Yesterday was a NSD & we intend the same for today.
So far I've meal planed for 1 day, well its a start.
Breakfast: Cereal (only 3 choices in the cupboard) and fruit
Lunch: HM bread, cheese, fruit
Dinner: Curly Kale and chickpea balti, rice, (maybe chappatis if I find a receipe I like and time to make them), chocolate & beetroot cake.
Snacks are HM biscuits, fruit, yoghurt.
Yesterday I priced up my fruit box on Sainsburys online, I was very pleased to see that the £9 I spent on fruit would have been over £15 in store and I find I get a better selection with the box and I don't get pestered by DS about buying fruit thats not Organic and been air freighted across the world. I realise I do have to pay delivery charge but this is shared with my sister as we 1 delivery for both houses and I enjoy the convenice of knowing more F&V will arrive without me having to think about what I need and finding time to shop.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Bought some milk & bread this morning £3.31 so have just updated signature. I also would like to stop the milk runs but I don't have a large enough freezer to store any in
and I can't buy enough once a week as it's go out of date  I'll come up with something I'm sure & any suggestions gratefully received.

My update.
Did a co-op top up (that shop is expensive, imo, but my nearest so I guess that cancels out the petrol I'd have spent driving elsewhere)
Spend today: £23.73
The only thing deviated from my shopping list is tuna fish instead of ham. Couldnt get their value bread, but I do have some in freezer I can use until I do the next top-up shop.0 -
Good Morning (Just Made It)
I haven't bought anything as of yet, but I know I need to buy bread.
I may have to pop into Somerfield, to pick some up. Luckily it's only around 40p, so that will be ok. Providing I spend nothing else.
I'm going over my mother in laws for dinner, so nothing being used out of my cupboards.I love Sundays.

Hi everyone
Just a quick update.
It's been sooo difficult as I spent most of my money early in the month but am happy to say that with fully loaded stockcupboards, home made baking and cooking and full freezer I'm happy that I'll not need to spend more.
I've got enough yoghurt & fruit as I'm the oly one who eats it. I buy fresh the first 2 weeks, then tinned in fruit juice for the other 2 weeks & also buy longlife milk, and use frozen veggies.
Good luck everyone, am already looking forward to the next challenge starting on the 25th March for me as that's payday for me.
Cheers
Casper

Went shopping yesterday and was only going to buy fruit and packed lunch stuff. Unfortunately there were a few bargains that I had to put in my trolley. The total bill was £42. Unfortunately I've blown my March Grocery Challenge

Today will be a NSD for me. I stocked up on milk in Tescos. The fresh 'n' lo was £1.09 so picked up a couple to keep us going. I am going to bake some fruit scones this afternoon. I am not great at scones but I am going to make an attempt. I will probably make some fairy cakes as well.
It is a beautiful Spring day here. I am about to go and sit in the garden with my coffee.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Been too busy to get online a lot lately but GC is doing well. Got some FR eggs cheaper than normal yesterday-only £1.80 per dozen and some milk-2 l for £1.
Went to Waitrose today and looked for reduced bread on a multibuy offer as last time I still had the multibuy discount! I was lucky and got 6 loves of Hovis danish or similar for 39p each but also had 3 multibuy savings of 29p so the lot was £1.47!!!
Didnt have the cheek to hand in vouchers for that! Spent very little this week. At long last there is a little tiny bit of breathing space in my freezer and Ive managed to get the baskets back in.
One thing I will be saving on in future is fizzy drinks after the dentist told my dd the damage they were doing to her teeth. So-Ive stopped buying them except for special occasions-and those are few and far between.
Got some breadmixes in Asda last week on offer-cant remember exact price-about 39p each?
DD15 lost her phone in the woods this morning-second phone lost in about 4 months! Searched for it with no luck so she has to buy another one-again. I bought the first but I wont replace the lost ones. I think I will pay for her topup though to help her out. She is most upset but like us all-she has to learn through her mistakes. She was messing abut with her mates at the time-not making a call.
Still waiting for a refund for faulty bikes from Argos Direct. Im really truly peed off with them for taking so long! I returned the bike on 27th Feb.
