Not managing to keep up with the thread as usual but I do miss all the helpful hints we used to have before it changed - cant find anyone talking about grocery shopping or budget when I go on the other thread.

have had to go elsewhere to get answers which is time consuming and sad.

just been updating my signature have only spent 35.96 so far this month so quite pleased at that.

hope everyone else is doing ok.

Just popped on to catch up on thread and update spends.
Had alot of little spends this week, been so busy with things not GC related that meal plan has gone to pot.
Going to try and stay in budget.
Am trying to update signature as i go but may not post for a while.

    For anyone thats interested

Tesco pure milk is still on offer 2 for £2.60
They are also selling pack of 3 princes tuna in brine for £1.49, considering that T valus tins are 55p each:eek: , its a small saving that adds up i guess.
I can still remember when last year they were 29p per tin.

Mr T are still selling danone activa yoghurts half price offer 8 pack for £1.49

    Signature updated

Of course it isn't! Welcome! :)

If you want to post a budget if you type what you're hoping to spend in red Mrs Mac will notice it and add you to the list.

    Yay! Thank You...
How shall I work it out, as we're now halfway through the month? :)

You can either put what you hope to spend on groceries for the rest of the month and specify that it's only for two weeks or don't give yourself a budget this month and spend the next couple of weeks saving your receipts and seeing what you do actually spend each week to give you a better idea of what you would like to set your target for next month.

    Morning all,
I've supprised myself so far with how good I've been with my GC been keeping tabs on stock and sticking to the meal plans, my dd1 has been drawing up the weekly menus and reminds me every day before school whats for dinner. Its good for her too.
I do think that next month I should work out some kind of menu plan for lunch time as I think that will help me aswell.
I'm happy with the NSD but would like to be able to cut the "milk" trips out and with no local shop (nearest a 10mile round trip) its annoying.

Hope everyone else enjoys the sunshine today :)
