Spend as of 3rd was £69.69

Since then have spent £20 or so in Asda on Easter Eggs, Mothers Day card and Wedding card for a friend, and a mammoth pack of nappies. The Easter Egg and cards money come out of my "Presents" budget.
The nappies should see us through at least half of nexy month but I wil count them off this month anyway just to be reckless LOL Brings total to £79.69

Also spent £10 in M&S on fruit and veg and milk Got some nice whoppsies in there amazingly. Tenderstem broccoli for 50p, we had it tonight it was really yummy even 5yo DS liked it, bag of 6 tomatoes 50p, 3 big leeks 50p. Also got milk, cheese, frozen sweetcorn and some other stuff I can't remember
And it was a mystery shop so I get the money back yay! So it doesn't count towards my budget.

So at £79.69 out of £100 for the month, my month is 20th-20th so have 10 days left.

The main part of that will be milk.
    Need some flour for bread
Will need more cheese, we get through so much
    Need baps for DS lunch.
Need ham for DS lunch. Tried Asda SP but it stinks so not buying any more of that!
    Might need tuna or similar.
Might need fruit but think we are ok for veg.
    Not sure about cereal.

    Question for anyone.
Are things like sardines or tinned mackerel type stuff cheaper than tuna ? Does it tase stronger ? I use it for tuna pasta would there be a cheaper alternative ?
Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)
    NSDs: 3
    Walk to school: 2/47
    Bloater challenge: £0/0lbs

.... neither of which I want to have to go and buy another packet of, as that will leave me with odd numbers until he's home for his next period of leave  (Can't do them twice while he's home, as younger DS will complain about having too many meals repeated in such a short space of time - and so will I :rolleyes2 )

I am sure a big strong army boy will eat both of the other two you have to buy. LOL! Have a lovely time, enjoy having him home, leave will all too soon be over. Hope your planning goes well. :D

I tried them in pasta and I must say I was not keen. They are a tad cheaper but I use them differently.

I think tuna is on offer at Tesco at the moment. Although it is still more expensive that it was last year......oh well, history lesson over!

    Hi to All,

I have a question...... This weekend I personally didnt spend anything on food/shopping etc.

My BF came over with a load of shopping and some treats for us as he was staying here the weekend, and we werent going out. Then he went to Sainsbury to get some bits for his own flat at which point, I added Washing powder and fabric softner for me!! :D which he paid for!

So I need to include these figures in my totals as technicallly, I would have had to buy some of the things, i.e. Milk, washing powder etc. Or is it just a bonus that he bought it for me!?
    :j A brilliant bonus me thinks! :j
;) Can you send him to my house please! ;)

    Morning all,

The girls are having a school lunch today (which I include as my grocery) due to after school commitments - so total spend today will be £3.10.

    Have a good day all

Had to resort to the local shop today, ended up spending £10 on bread buns, yoghurt's, bombay mix, pickled gherkins coconut milk and block of it. So basically was so ill i bought crap for the boys. My hm bread didn't work out in the slightest, only good for toast, so that messed up my NSD. So now have to have a quick shop in Sainsburys to get bread, salad and milk, yes its far cheaper than my local.

Hope anyone who's feeling ill, feels better soon x

Just popped in to update total for the month so far. I'm on the late shift at work today so was looking forward to a lie in. However, the heating engineer had other ideas! Why do workmen always arrive at early o'clock??? Musn't grumble, wouldn't like to have no heating at this time of year.

We're having a major cost cutting challenge at work, so always looking for new ideas. I'm so glad I'm on here, have already used some of the ideas and adapted them for work.
My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!
