  • Small shops at MrA (but the milk for DGDs had gone back up from £3.00 to £4.97  so didn't get it. They seem to put it way down every couple of weeks but only for a few days:confused: ) and Wilks for the Heinz tom soup 4 for £1.00 and I did get the Spread and bake for 34p :j .

These last will come out of stockpile budget. Will now need to go to MrS on Fri for Vittorio toms (my treat) and wine:o .

    Hello everyone.icon7.gif
Another NSD today so that makes four in a row:j I made a couple of HM Pizza's today -one for dinner and one for the freezer. I also resisted the urge to pop into MrC to see if there were any 'whoopsies' -because with me it doesn't stop at 'whoopsies' and I get carried away and the budget gets blown. I think I'm doing a little better this month because I still have about £61 left and if I remember correctly -I only had around £30 left at this stage last month. I just hope I don't use up all my stocks, as I would like to stay ahead of myself iykwim.

scotsaver -I hope you enjoyed your Oxtail Stew. We plan to have it on the menu again this month. Have you tried Brisket in your Slo-cooker yet? because it cooks it wonderfully well and the meat is so tender -one of our favourites.

Keep going everyone -we're all doing so well:j

Wow 14 pages and I have just found the thread!

Hadn't spent a penny until today and then went a bit wrong - cakes this morning and a takeout this evening. Haven't worked out the cost yet but have decided it was treat day of the month.

Did bake two loaves today although have to buy some more salt if I want to bake anymore.

Have the ingredients for several meals to last until the middle of the next week so just milk and bread and fruit for the shopping list this week (hopefully).

I'm feeling very inspired by the challenge so far! I thought I'd need to do some shopping this week as my fridge is bare, but having stopped to think about it instead of rushing to the shops, I can easily get to the weekend using the contents of my freezer and cupboards, only needing milk!!

OH likes the idea in principle, but keeps saying things like 'Can we have something nice for dinner tonight please?' - he means anything that I haven't ruined by putting vegetables in it!! :D

I've found it's best not to tell him (or give him any choice) what he's having for dinner - if I just put it in front of him, he's going to eat it whether he fancies it or not!:rotfl:

Mellika I think you could close the ING account anytime. But I noticed Martin has removed it from his top deals of the week so maybe it's been pulled already?

Well I spent £8 yesterday and I am going out for lunch today so we will see how it goes. Still within my weekly budget as long as I don't need anything else this week.
