Happy birthday to paul toni, hope the cake tastes as good as it looks.

ok for all those that is following my building nightmare
Steel beams need to go up in the ceiling,
oh friends who were helping him have not been giving him a direct answer as to when they will be doing it,
well he pinned them down and they have pulled out, I have told him to remember this when they want a favour!
so we have a builder coming round today to qive a quote, expense that I was not budgeting on, this builder has no work so hoping he will be cheap!
ho hum,

Happy Birthday Paul
:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Thingamabob
:bdaycake:
Hope your cakes taste as good as they look...;)
Cathy (((hugs))) - some friends they turned out to be - although maybe they weren't confident about managing the beam - and were worried it might collapse or something - at least the builder will know what he's doing (in theory anyway:rolleyes: ) Hope it works out okay in the end.
Right, I'll be off internet at 10.00 as we're clearing DD2s bedroom - it might be the smallest bedroom ever but you wouldn't believe how much stuff there is in there right now....:o

Morning all
All this talk of Greek food!! Mmmmm we love it too. We also love kleftiko and stifado and cheese pies and Greek salad and souvlaki but our absoloute fav is pastichio, Ginjim, that would be great for the restaurant as it is usually made in huge quantities and needs to be cooled before cutting and serving. We make ours in a large roasting dish and it cuts into 10 huge portions
Yum yum, Chris hope you get back to Rhodes soon, we're going back to Kefalonia on 30th August for 2 weeks thanks to Mr Tesco :j:j:jThat ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0 -
Toni have a lovely day with the grumpy birthday boy, hope he loves his cake - Happy birthday Paul :beer:That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free0

oh oh oh... I love the kleftiko and stifado and Greek salad and souvla , my sister in law makes the best pastichio and she always uses ground pork, tastes amazing the kids love it and tastes great the next day,
The kleftiko... thats what I was trying to tell you about Toni, the one you cook for seven hours lamb shoulder is the best sitting on greek pateoes sprinkled with orgarno and dried mint lots of good sea salt low heat in sealed tin, severed with bourguri and yourget.
Greek salad is my sepicality we always use greek rocket, and baby aubgine raw, tomotes still a tiny bit green and virgin olive oil and greek red wine vinger
The thing about living in Palmers green is everyone is from Cyprus, so all the local shops have the food imported from Cyprus the patoes still with the red mud on, the rocket is amazing and all the veg is so fresh. it makes the sainsburs stuff look laughable.
heres out little souvla,.. this meat you got to eat with pickled celary... trust me its amazing!!
We have a huge stainless steal one as well from the resturant, on a saturday night green lanes ifs filled with the smell of greek food being
cooked over the charcoal, its just like being in Cyprus, the best smells comming from my father in laws resturant.:D
Right no more food talk ...I promise thats it its out of my system...:rotfl:People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...
It is much easier to see other people's failings than our own.0 -
