Does anyone have any details about the bowling at MK in the snowdome, near the cinema.

    The website isn't that helpful!!

How much is a game of bowling for an adult? Is there many lanes.

Plan on going tomorrow, but the one near us gets blocked up with gangs of kids, so dont like it. Is the MK a nice family one. We are going as a couple, but still want a nice atmosphere.
Is a sufferer of SAD, so don't blame me, blame the depressing English weather!!!

This is done from memory, as it's a while since I last went...

    It's £4 or £5 a game, and £1 for shoe hire I think. Roughly 24 lanes...

It's buried in the back - you walk in through the entrance, past the bar on the left and keep straight ahead until you get to the amusements area. Head for the back left of the amusements and the bowling alley's behind that. I always get lost on the way out because it's so dark!

I'm looking for a new school for my son as i'm not happy with his current school. I've been looking at a new school on Tattenhoe Park called Priory Rise, this isn't far from us. Has anybody got any views on this school. My son is in year 1.

    Thanks

don't know much but I understand it only opened Sept 2008 and it serves
Tattenhoe Park and South Kingsmead as its first priority area and Tattenhoe and North Kingsmead as a second priority area. It does not have a year 5 or 6 yet. They have a website HERE. I haven't heard anything negative about it.

Be careful in moving your son as it could have implications later on (eg he is unable to move to secondary school with his friends from Priory Rise because you don't actually live in the catchment area for the secondary for which PR is a feeder for)
What are the issues you have with present school?

Living in the catchment area by no means guarantees you a place at the secondary school, at the moment anyway. When DD2 changed schools last September we lived in the Shenley Brook End catchment area. The last pupil to get in lived less than a mile away from the school. We lived over a mile away so she didn't have a hope in hell's chance of getting in. There were several children in her year who didn't even get in to any of the other 'local' schools supposedly taking the SBE overspill!
