Thanks for the recommendations re. hairdressers. I haven't had my highlights done yet, so will check out prices, but did at the last minute (before going on holiday) go to my local hairdresser on Crownhill (now Arcana). I had a very nice cut and blowdry for £28, which is less than I paid my last at-home hairdresser, so may go back there. Nice decor too!

If you receive a letter with return address, Matters Consulting Ltd, Cheltenham - return it to sender.

I had a letter from Matters Consulting Ltd, t/a Survey UK, based in Cheltenham today. It was a piece of paper saying, "Congratulations this number (a hand written number) has drawn one of the gifts donated by local business. Total value of gifts exceed £32,500". Thought it was a bit odd but as I'd done a couple of surveys recently, perhaps it was something to do with that. Anyway, I rang the number (01908) and my "gift" turned out to be a years membership of the gym in the Agora Centre in Wolverton worth £750!!! (What gym charges £62.50/month for single membership?) The beauty of it was, to take advantage of this "gift" I needed to pay £3.81/week . Something didn't quite add up :rotfl: so I declined my "gift". It was then suggested to me, if I had a friend who was more interested in keeping fit  I could pass the voucher on to them.

If you get one of these I'd suggest don't open - just return to sender.

I had this happen to me too. They had my address but not my name so I refused to give my name until I'd heard what it was all about. They never got my name. It turns out that you would have to agree to a 3 year contract and the prize actually amounts to a discount of £250 per annum over that 3 year period. That's why you'd still have to pay for it.

But yes, it's not a bargain or a prize worth having at all. Thank heavens my phone call was free.

And David Lloyd charge more than £62.50 for their off-peak gym membership - although it does include 2 swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. I wish I could afford it. It's almost £80 per month if you want access during all their opening hours (inc. weekday evenings).

Coming up for the weekend in June to celebrate my daughters birthday - going to Airkix using Tesco vouchers but all the family also want to go toboganning and ice sliding in the Snozone. Couldn't find any discounts online anywhere - anybody any ideas where I could try or if its highly unlikely I would find any?

    Many thanks

Anyone know how much I'd be looking at to get a Karcher washer from Costco? Found one in argos for £58 that'll do everything I need it to but wondering if Costco will have it cheaper. Got my card but haven't had my picture put on it yet. Don't want to bother with the hassle of doing all that if they wont have what I want.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I had a look on mkweb, the local website and no offers I could see atm (although 10% off at airkix!), but looked on ebay - there's some vouchers for sale that finish tonight, if you type sno zone into the search. There's often vouchers on there as xscape give them away to local schools etc as raffle prizes.

I recall the pressure washers in Costco are £150 - £250, so quite dear. I saw on hotukdeals this morning there was a karcher on offer at tescodirect half price £80. I don't know if it will still be in stock?

Just got back from Tesco Kingston (Milton Keynes ) and they're selling off all their ex display laptops - don't know what models, but there were a couple of Vaios £190, HP shiny ones £244 (the man said they were from £650, but may not have all the components, they were having to check them). There were about 30 laptops as I left ( I got the last new one - Toshiba 17" 2gb 250ram for £199 )
