    Hello, all.

My husband has a couple of Harris tweed jackets which need the lining replacing; he tells me the dry-cleaners in Stony Stratford, where we normally go, are not up to doing this task, although they do alterations.

Does anyone have a recommendation for somewhere that could reline his jackets and make a good job of it?

    TIA.

I saw a card of dressmaking alteration inside the fabric shop in Blecthley before. and i think there is one in NeathHill local center.
Not use them before though so cannot tell if they are any good.

I have just spent the afternoon at the Xscape Building with my daughter and her friends and had to spend £4.80 for 4 hours parking. They seem to have taken away all the black parking meters from that area now. Of course it was packed on the other side of the road by The Barn Restaurant where the parking is cheaper. Just thought I would warn everyone to go early and walk under the underpass if you want cheap parking.... I wonder how long it is before they take the black meters away from everywhere up at the shopping centre.

You could try the Council 'dump' (or whatever they call it now) - there are various different sites around the city, I've often seen second hand doors and windows - just a matter of finding the right size.

  • Just warning you guys against Woburn Car Sales near ASDA in bletchley. Before they sold the car to me service was brilliant and the day I bought the car it completely changed. Car did not have locking wheel nut (luckily I spotted before hand) which took ages to got sorted. Car had a slow puncher (I thought just air at the time I bought), they agreed to pay part price but nothing so far and had to fight for it. They ask to come and visit them during they day (like I am not working) and whenever I go no solution and they make an excuse. Ignore at all cost

Yes, a case of people refusing to pay for expensive parking and the Xscape business suffering made the parking people see sense! No one wants to be ripped off!

    Cheers
