We used The Royal Oak Club in Bletchley for a get together after our sons christening and would recommend them - reasonable rates, a decent sized room a staffed bar on hand and they allow you to do your own catering if you wish

Hey guys,

I'm soon going to move to Milton Keynes. I am in the process of finding somewhere to live. I will be working in the Woodlands Business Park, so I am focused on the "north" of MK. From what I have read, the best areas would be Newport Pagnell, Willen Park, Campbell Park and perhaps Stony Stratford. Would you recomend any other areas?

How long would you say it takes to cycle from Stony Stratford to the Woodlands Business Park?

Hi all

I'm posting here on behalf of my wife.

She's a well established, friendly dog groomer in MK and is looking to take on some part-time help. She needs someone who's experienced in grooming in a commercial groomers (i.e. not just someone who cuts their own dog's hair every now and again), trustworthy, articulate and (above all) caring. Someone capable of fully grooing all breeds from start to finish will be required.

Initially, she's looking at someone on a self-employed basis, working 3-4 days per week (although neither of these criteria are set in stone).

Just a long shot that I post this on here, really as I'm trying to save her a few quid advertising the post (that's the name of the site, after all!!).

Anyone interested, please PM me initially and we'll take it from there.....

Hi.
Going to a family do in west London one Saturday evening in March. Taking my 80 yr old mother, so want to book a car to bring us back.
Just called Skyline taxis which I have used a lot and they quoted £70 to be paid in advance (no problem there) by credit card or debit card (no problem there) and there is a 10% surcharge (£7) for using a card :eek: which I have a huge problem with.

Does anyone have any other suggestions/recommendations for a taxi/car service from London to MK?

Hi Swattie,

My DH's taxi firm of choice is Raffles; I have no idea what they'd charge for your trip, or what their policy is on card payments, but DH has used them whenever he's needed a taxi since before I knew him (11 years) and still uses them for preference if we're going out for a celebration and therefore don't want to drive.
