  • Forgot to mention that I had my carpets fitted by Carpetwise in Stony www.directmobilecarpets.co.uk and I would definitely recommend them. The staff were extremely helpful, I am sure they are not the cheapest but the service was worth it

Can anyone recommend somewhere in the MK area to go and pick your own strawberries please?

We went to Wakefield farm today, near Potterspury, after checking on their website to make sure they still did it, only to get there and find they weren't doing it anymore! Not very helpful!!:(

I have vague recollections of there being somewhere over Newport Pagnell/Moulsoe way - anyone know more about this?

    Thanks

Yes, there was a place near the Courtyard Hotel, I've not been that way for some time, so don't know if it's still operating :( shame about Wakefield, that used to be one of my favs.
There is also a place out towards Leighton Buzzard that does all sorts, not just soft fruit. http://www.grovefarmpyo.co.uk/pickyourown

Does anyone know of a butchers in MK that sells alternative meats? Am thinking along the lines of kangaroo, crocodile, ostrich - burgers/steaks/sausages.

Thanks in advance for any input :)

  • Hi all,

I completed yesterday on my first ever house and have now realised how much I have to do!

Can anyone recommend a good handyman in the area? I am looking for someone to do odd jobs around the house, such as put up blinds/ curtains/ mirrors/ shelves/ picture hocks etc, I ‘m sure the list will grow longer as soon as I move in.

Fairly basic jobs I know, however I am hopeless at DIY. If anyone has a personal recommendation that would be much appreciated.

I am also on the look out for a good cleaner if anyone can recommend one.

    Thanks

    Bump.

Is anyone able to provide a recommendation? I now have the cleaner sorted so it is only the handyman I am after.

    Thanks

    Hi All,

I have been collecting milk bottle tops with our school and have about 6 black bin bags full of them. The charity we were collecting for (Help for Heroes) is now unable to pick them up from us so they are on offer to any charities local to me. I am near Milton Keynes in BUckinghamshire.

Please let me know if they are of any use to you.

    Allison.

    Hello peoples,

I'm after a recommendation for a seamstress/dressmaker. I've Googled and found some local, but I'd rather have someone recommended to me. I need some additions to a dress (sparkles, that sort of thing). Thanks in advance!

    Hi Indie
