Well, my 7 year old has slightly disrupted the food plans by deciding to become vegetarian. I wasn't expecting that for another 3-4 years! She is a thoughtful child, and seems to mean it. In any case, my inclination is to take her seriously, and if she changes her mind, then it will be her decision. So (given that we have increased our proportion of vege meals recently anyway) meals are planned to be adaptable to a non-meat eater...
Saturday: vegatarian pasta, marinated (freerange) chicken drumsticks
Sunday: hm pizza (one veg, one with meat)
Monday: felafel, marinated lamb chunks, pitta bread, salad
Tuesday: chilli bean soup (vege), tortilla chips
Wednesday: potato & chickpea & cashew nut curry, rice
Thursday: spaghetti with tomato sauce and optional meat balls
Friday: fishfingers, beans & chips (egg for non-fish eaters)Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -

This is the first time I've posted a meal plan, so here's goes!
Mon - Vegetarian chilli (toms, baked beans, kidney beans, sweetcorn, onions, mushrooms and spices) with baked sweet potatoes
Tues - Pasta with tomato and vegetable sauce, garlic bread
Weds - Vegetarian chilli with rice
Thurs - Hot steak and onion sandwiches, wedges, salad
Fri - Jacket potatoes with beans, cheese and coleslaw with salad
Sat -? Maybe Hot and Sour Soup & Thai Green Chicken Curry
Sun - ? Maybe Toad in the Hole or a sausage casserole
Hmm, lots of beans next week, maybe I should swap some things around!
Breakfasts are either porridge with jam at work or weetabix.
Lunches are sandwiches with tuna, cheese, coleslaw, pate or hm soup and ys bread and fruit.
Puddings are biscuits, fruit or banana and custard.0 -
Mine is mostly done as well. Am going to use angelnikki's colour coding from now on, seems to make sense.
.
I use colour too as it helps me see the balance (and also on my own excel meal planning file!) although not sure I use exactly the same colours!
Due to tonsilitis making me a bit fussy food wise I am meal planning for the next day only so won't be making a weekly plan, and hoping I can eat normally again soon. I will be taking inspiration from you people and your lovely plans though :T.
Have a good week folks.....
ETA might add the things as we have them.......ETA again...feeling better so a proper list now for a few days!
