  • oh i am feeling sinister tonight....carefully undo the seams, get a cat to pee inside the cushions, sprinkle some stilton cheese grates, get a half ton fattie to stomp all over and break the sofa in a bit... then send the sofa back claiming they are substandard/smelly and get your refund. buy the one you like for 800 sand save 600:) sorry bad advice
  • Well i put that to dh and he wasn't keen....;)
  • lol i had this same problem with our new sofa recently delivered. I got a 4 seater and 2 chairs that looked ENORMOUS in the room, but at the time I had no other furniture in there so it was a massive focal point - now the room is filling up with other things it doesn't look bad at all!

  • That is a lovely sofa, you will regret it if you get rid. I'm loving mine. It just takes some getting used to.

Dont people Measure their room first, and the old sofa, then the" new" one first before buying?

We did measure. Loads of times!! I think it is just a bit of a shock when you actually get it in the room - there is only so much you can picture with a measuring tape - its also a corner sofa so completely different to having two sofas....the room looks so different!

But yes, we did measure, both old and new.;)

PS am really starting to LOVE the new sofa now, getting some late nights as its far too comfy to leave :D

Glad to see your liking your new sofa now OP. I think it takes a bit of getting used to personally. My parents had early inheritance last year and bought a leather sofa. It cost 2500 which is alot of money but its got to last at a long time. And at first they did not like it but its because they were not used to it. And I also think its a lovely sofa!
Proud mummy to 3 beautiful children who I love so so much :oxxxx

Baby girl due april 2016! cant wait to meet her. xxx
  • I personally dont like the sofassofa one its no where near as nice as the one you have already!! the one you have now is gorgeous...I wish we have a room big enough to have a sofa like that but we dont...in a few months yourll love it and cant even imagine that you were thinking about getting rid of it!! id keep it !!! : )
  • To anyone reading this and thinking of buying a sofa i'm pretty sure (or they did when we last used them) sofa sofa give you a period of time (7 days/14 days?) after delivery to decide if you want to keep your new sofa and will give a refund...The only thing you end out of pocket if you send it back is the delivery cost which is fair enough.!

I bought a sofa, chair and matching footstool on ebay for the princely sum of 1p! It did say it was large in the advert - it is! I'm just glad there was only one chair or I don't know where I would have put it. It did look enormous for a while but we've got used to it as I'm sure you will. Enjoy!
