OK, my new sofa arrived two days ago...my first reaction was that I hated it! I was in tears for alot of the day as it just seems so huge..
SO.....hubby has agreed if I still don't like it in 6 months we can sell it on ebay and buy a cheaper one from Sofasofa.
I think I would probably only get about £800 if I am lucky (it cost us £1400 over 4 yrs interest free) and the one i like in Sofasofa is £800....
Would this be incredibly stupid of me?!
ps For what its worth, i like the sofa a lot more now, its growing on me, and the kids and hubby love it....

Keep it...
I'm sure over time you will get used to it. We bought a 3/2/1 suite from DFS and for the first few days it looked enormous but then it just blended in.0 -
Thanks, that helps...it certainly doesn't seem QUITE as big now as it did when it first arrived.
I am really worried about people spilling things on it too....what on earth made me spend so much on a sofa?!0 -
Which sofa did you buy out of curiosity as when my DFS sofa arrived I thought I had made a huge mistake! However, after living with it for a week, it grew and grew on me and now I love it. Yes it is big, but it is sooooo comfortable. I love it.
I think you will grow into it as you obviously liked it in the showroom enough to buy it. Stick with it. Your hubby has good sense.0 -
We bought this one:

But instead of black with cream we got brown with cream....it is enormous!! Am so glad that you love yours now, it means there may be hope for me yet....0 -
£1400!! Was this in a sale? How much was it supposed to be? I can never imagine spending more than £800 on a sofa lol

It was supposed to be in "the sale" but I am pretty sure that DFS sales are a little bit made up - no part of me believes that the sofa ever sold for £2500!!!
No, I am not quite sure what we were thinking spending so much?!0 -
It is a nice sofa though, exactly what we are looking for...shame we're brassicWe have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0
