I'm with 3 mobile... GET ME OUT OF HERE!

I understand that there is a 'sticky' thread about 3, and on here most people vent their frustrations about this aweful network so don't want to dwell too much on the specifics of my ongoing problems with them.

On that thread various people had mentioned speaking to the UK executive and having their issues resolved, i.e. being able get out of the 'shackles' of a 3 contract.

I was wondering firstly if anybody had the number for this? I've tried various UK numbers which go straight through to the Asian call centre, but after 10's of phone calls I get nowhere with them.

Secondly I'd also like this thread to serve as another warning to stay well away from 3, I can actually see my hairline moving backwards as I speak with their customer services or try and use their useless network.

IGNORE MY ADVICE AT YOUR PERIL!!!!

I was with 3 Mobile years ago when they first came out. Three things stood out for me:

    1) When I used their phones for more than 2 minutes, I used to get a headache
    2) Their calls centres were all based in india with people pretending to be english with their fake english names
    3) Reception was terrible

From my understanding, nothing much has changed....
  • well i disagree. i started with 3 when there reception was poorly.u get disconnected every minute.poor quality handsets with size like brick. so i left after 1st year and move to different diffrent network. untill 2007 when i got back to 3 again.

things have changed and i can say they got better eception than t mobile and orange for sure bcoz i tried both of the from the same address where i live.

    and their deals are good.
:T:j:mad::p:D;):eek::rotfl::A this are the signs of a lunatic.

    Agree with Coolsolution.

People rarely come on here to say how good something is. So it always seems that there are only complaints.

I've been with 3 since launch on and off. They are by far the best network for coverage near where I live and work and on the odd occaision ther is no 3g signal it works fine on Orange.

They cost me half what the other networks do.

BUT there customer service is awful, thats the only downside for me. As I've only ever had to call them twice, it hasn't been too much of an issue. (I've been with all the networks at one time or another and only O2 and Virgin have ever provided good cstomer service)

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY PEOPLE SAYING 3 ARE GOOD!!!!
I can only think they work for them

My experience of three so far is that they have:
    • Fraudulently upgraded my phone without permission (to a higher tariff and without even giving me a new handset!)
    • Insist that they cannot reverse the upgrade (even though I am well within the 14 day cooling period)
    • Say they don't care about breaking the law when you show them copies of statute they are breaking
    • Keep you on hold for up to 40 minutes then hang up
    • Say 'I'm sorry madam I don't understand the question' if you ask them anything they don't want to answer
    • Refuse to check their phone records for a copy of the 'supposed' phone call which I asked for an upgrade (again, my statutory right)
    • Will not allow you to speak to anyone with more authority than themselves (everyone claims to be the customer services manage for the whole of 3 group but won't give you their full name)
    • Talk over you when you are trying to ask them a question
    • Refuse to listen and keep telling you to take them to court if you don't like it.
In fact that last point is the only useful thing any of them have said in the last week!
    Peace,

    What a totally absurd comment.

I have never had a problem with either of my contracts in four years.

I find the service is OK- good coverage and rarely any problems with a PAYG. BUT, their Customer Service is abysmal, and the staff in their 3 shops are rude, aggressive and completely unhelpful. I wouldn't ever get a contract with 3.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Just because you had a bad experience does not mean everyone will, Your comment was a little unfair saying "People who like 3 work for them"

Oh and networks dont need to give 14 days for DSR, Within the law they can give 7 if they want :money:
