Carphone Warehouse price promise
Taken from the website:

We believe we offer the best deals on the net, but in the unlikely event that you find the same product cheaper anywhere else, let us know and we will match it*.
There are many websites offering a deal too good to miss on a contract phone, but make it difficult to claim the cash back or simply don’t exist when payment is due.
Our promise to you is that we guarantee to pay your cash back now, and in the future. Check out our cash back promise.
Simply complete the form below and a member of our team will contact you within 24 hours.
All fields marked * are required and must be completed.
I was wondering if anyone had done this?? Could use this with a less reliable company and get CPW to match it, only thing is you lose the £30 quidco payment as it won't be online!

After 3 emails to customer services, I gave up!0

I was told today in CPW shop could not match their own CPW on-line offer !0

I treid cpw, also onestopphoneshp AND e2save . asked them to match the L6 with 12m free rental currently on offer from (the less well-known coolnewmobiles).... and you know what .... yep u guessed it, THEY WILL NOT MATCH !!!
i dont understand this...so i argued withthem (yes all three cs reps), and they gave me some lame excuse ' the coolnewmobiles has a different supplier to us, so we cannot match the offer' !??
hey? so in other words, there IS NO PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE !????
anyone out there who has had any luck let me know, but i can pretty much assure you its worthless evn trying in this case !
(they'll only match each others offers, . which is useless as they are the 'same' company !?)0 -
OSPS has the L6 on 12 months free on Orange and o2 on their homepage (since yesterday).
When you look into it, the price match generally applies to the handset - as most are free on many of the deals, they are pretty safe on that

I emailed them several times for a price match (CPW and E2save) and neither bothered to reply.Join the Sarcasm Appreciation Society.

xycom1 - whilst I have a great deal of empathy with your sentiments, I think the statement might breach this sites rules....
I'm not a lawyer, but I would advise you to take care in making that specific comment, if nothing other than to protect MSE.0 -
I also email carphone & esave also spoke onestop no reply & carphone said can not match price & you will not get money back other supplier. I think we should report fair trade standard or compaign together. Carphone, onestop & esaver I think same company.Jonni2bad wrote:xycom1 - whilst I have a great deal of empathy with your sentiments, I think the statement might breach this sites rules....

jiji - this is not a secret, they are the same company. CPW took over OSPS last year, they have owned e2save.com for quite a while.
Maybe it is this change in the market that has led to a reduction in the really good deals (real or perceived) as the "reliable companies" (I use that term loosely) have the market tied up (not in terms of number of companies, but in terms of which you may trust to be there to pay out on a cashback).

The good deals are still there, you just have to wait a bit longer than previously.0 -
