  • Morning ladies!!!!

I have had a weird weekend...

On friday night my lovely 81 year old nan came round to my sisters to see the new baby, at 10pm she left and promptly fell down the step outside and couldnt move. (she wasnt even drunk) I called an ambulance and turns out shes broken her hip! Bless her! She has an op on sat afternoon and shes doing really well now. Silly nana. I took her some cookies from Marks and Spencers and she was more than chuffed about them. (i blame her for my cake addiction..)

I had a lovely time on Sat night! My friend came along with me, shes going through the same situation as me bf wise so we were a mean pair to mess with i can tell you!! The party was shockingly bad, about 10 people turned up and the DJ was actually playing Tina Turner. At that point we left. LOL
We then went to a wine bar and got hammered and then had chips in pitta on the way home. A great nite! Really cheered me up. :D

On the job front, i had a bit of a pickle this morning. I had an interview booked tomorrow in London, but then i got a call for a second interview for another company that want to see me tomorrow!! So im not sure i have done the right thing but ive cancelled the first interview and asked if by any miracle they can fit me in another day, and taken the second interview.

So today i am going to the post office (i might as well live there, set up a bed and a direct debit for the charges and i will be fine). Then im off to my sisters as she roped me in to make a easter bonnet for my nephews easter bonnet parade. Very worried as he likes wearing the yellow bonnet a little too much....:D

I just wanted you let you know i am feeling better. I had a bit of a tearful time last night, dont really know why, anything sets me off right now...the news, sad books, the lack of cookies in the cupboard..anything.

Hope you all are having a good day. Will be back on after the post office. xxxxxxxx

Glad our feeling ok. Sometimes just getting out and doing stuff makes you feel better. But then randomingly crying at nothing is all part and parcel of being depressed, unfortunately. It does get better. (I still cry and random stuff on tv but maybe thats just me.. ) And for a while there are good days and bad days and when your having a bad day it's just a matter of remembering it will pass. Sometimes that's easier said than done though..

Poor Nan! Sending her a virtual cake to cheer he up. choccake.gif
    hmm, that cake looks nice:D

And good news about the interviews too:T

Fear not, it is not a ranking- just the order they came up through the thread! Jason Statham was a late entry :D
  • Evenin everyone :)

Speaking of dodgy embarassing crushes. When I was little I apparently had a crush on.......

    PAUL DANIELS!!!

*hangs head in shame* now I don't remember this very well as I was very young so perhaps I could be forgiven?

My present-day crush though is Michael out of Prison Break. Wentworth Miller, mmm. And Jason Stratham (sp?)

    PAUL DANIELS??? LOL:rotfl:

Just for you- Warren in Hollyoaks has been added. He has gone straight to the hot list as I don't think there will be any dissenters! :D

    Morning all,

seems like the world and his wife can bake but not me:o
It's not just you- everything I try just seems to come out slightly wrong. Tastes ok, but doesn't ever look like it should! :D

Hi Blondie and fellow blonde cat people.

Sorry to hear about your nan.

Blondie - regarding random crying - I do this. Sometimes, I hear a song on the radio while I am washing the floor or something, and find that tears are running down my face. I think lots of people do it in my experience (well women anyway). I never cry in public though, even at brother's funeral. I just had a lump in my throat the size of a brick for a year afterwards. (And quite often, it comes back, like an unswallowed kebab) Interesting fact for the day: Did you know that when women cry, they show traces of a calming hormone in their tears? Men's tears do not. therefore crying can make women feel better, but it never makes men feel better.

Anyway, wierd weather here. Spent yesterday in the garden and taking one of the farm sheepdogs out (yes, I did lick its head when the farmer wasn't looking). Last night it was minus two degrees! We didn't sleep well as we have no heating. Apart from that, nice weekend hibernating. (apart from seeing my sick friend - a 6 mile walk over the fields) I need to get my finger out and look harder for a job.

Glad you seem to be feeling better. My advice to you would be to get out and about as much as possible. (I know money is a problem) but getting out and about and breaking your old routine will put time and space between your life as it was and your life as you want it to be. This is the secret to moving on.

I'm off to the docs this afternoon about my fibroids (arrgh lady bits)

Hang on I think we'd best be careful with the hollyoaks lot, generally they are beautiful people! Personally a big Russ fan but hey ho...

Oh blondie your poor gran! Lots of grapes and cakes and you'll be fine! Good news about the second interview, hope it goes well, fingers crossed.

Biscuit of choice: none, ran out and not been shopping :o
    End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt :(
    Today's total: £7,297.06 :o
