  • Wow lots of bad news going on around here :(

I wish I was good at supportive words! I always seem to try to be helpful but end up sounding patronising so I'll just wish you good luck and cross my fingers for you!

Oh and when I found out I might be losing my job...my OH said "well it's not like you've got cancer is it" then his friends came round for the whole weekend! Men (well most of them) are rubbish!

    xx

    Thanks Milly/Rupe,

Just read Blondie's other thread - yikes! She's a tough cookie though, keeping everything crossed for her! x

Blondie - hope you have a good day. I feel sad for you and Sparky, but as I don't know all the details, I don't know what to say, except, keep smiling because your sunny nature will pull you through :)
  • oh blondie Ive just read your other thread!

Sparky just needs to get real. Ive just split from my O/H, i have debt problems and he doesnt. would shout at me and tell me to pull myself together when i was worried about money.

Moved out of our rented house (i know it's easier when you rent) back into my mum and dads last week and im sad every night and i take lenny (boxer dog) to bed with me for a cuddle but i know long term its the right decision - just doesnt feel that way now.

It seems like so many people on here genuinely care for you - much more than sparky right now - just keep your chin up and you will come out of it and find your confidence again.

    really routing for you xxxx

Hi blondie - thanks for updating us - like I said on your other thread - I have had depression - you can get thro it and the tablets once they've kicked in can make the world of difference. My DS says I am the happiest person he knows and he didn't ever realise when I was depressed...

Goochie - sorry to hear your news. Hope things pick up for you soon!

I feel better today. Im so sorry for making you all worried about me.

I want to say that yesterday was probably one of the lowest i have ever felt in my life and all your messages helped me feel better. I cnt thank you enough.

I really want to say thanks to you girls on this thread. I am sorry for yesterday i just lost it.

Once i came back from the doctors Sparky came home and he just said 'only weak people get depression'. I then walked out.

He later rang me crying. Ive told him not to bother crying as i need to help myself at the moment and not try to cope with him crying on me.

I am not going to worry about jobs this week. I may have to go bankrupt so whats another week gonna matter. :o Im going to spend time going for walks and speaking to you all on here.

*so whos to dig out the wine? -even if it is only 11am*

Don't ever ever apologise for the way you feel! Feeling guilty about things WHICH ARE NOT YOUR FAULT has surely contributed to the way you feel - so stop it right now. I'm sure all us crazy cat ladies (blonde and otherwise:D) are more than happy for you to cry on our collective virtual shoulders.

And as for Sparky..... well. There are words but I'm far too polite to type them. You are quite right to tell him to go away. You have to look after yourself. He's obviously far to immature. And it takes a strong person to face up to their problems like you are, so basically ignore everything he says. Grrrr

And as for possibly going bankrupt- who cares:confused: It's just one way to move on. And it is not the end of the world. So cross that bridge if and when it comes to it.

Also- I like red wine :D

    hugs

  • I picked the worst day ever to jump aboard! Eeek. I hope I'm not a jinx.

I can only hope you feel better today. Take a week for yourself. Do things that make you happy. Don't dwell on stressful matters.

Glad you are back blondie!!!! Big 3somes for you!

On a personal note i suffer with depression too and had a few weeks off work about 2 months ago. I have suffered with it on and off since i was 14. I am not as bad as i was back then and it was only my current job that triggered things this time, but you will feel better xx

Hi Blondie, I'm pleased you're feeling a bit brighter, but really you do need to forgive yourself - none of this mess is your fault, and it's pointless thinking it is.
As for the depression, I can only echo others and say it's not a surprise given everything you've been dealing with. As for 'only the weak suffering from depression'! - I take it Sparky thinks Winston Churchill was 'weak'? Depression affects most of us at some point or another to varying degrees and it really is nothing to be ashamed of. It takes real strength to keep going when such rubbish is going on, and you've done brillantly!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
