:j :j Fab news about the interview Blondie :j :j - and how BRILLIANT that its for your last companies arch rival...
Along with pretty much everyone else I am also attempting to shift a bit of weight - and its not going to plan at the moment. I'm so BORED with being sensible - so I have just scoffed pitta bread, cheese and hula hoops - lots of hula hoops. I think its cos I went to the gym earlier, and felt smugAll gone downhill now.
Did i mention i have a 'thing' about cheese n onion hoola hoops. OMG they are sooooooooo scrummy. Please dont mention them in a thread again or i shall be forced to buy a multipack, eat all the cheese packs, then wrap the others in a plastic bag, hide them under a newspaper in the bin and swear i hadnt eaten a THING all day to Sparky.

Blondie,
Really pleased the interview went well - I have my fingers (and toes!) crossed for you and sending lots of good luck vibes. Re. the recruitment agency - admittedly I live out in the sticks, but I have had some luck in the past in getting them to interview me on the phone so that I don't have to pay out to go there... might be worth talking to them about this, especially since there normally isn't much that they need from you in person?Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Hi Blondie
I love you diary, its more entertaining than the books i've tried to read recently!
You sound like a genuinely great person and reading your diary made me smile.
And also makes work more fun, so i subscribed and will be seeing how your journey goes.
Best of luck to ya with the job, u'll be successful no doubt about it as long as you keep being you. LJ xMFW - £79,349 outstanding Nov 2010

Hi Blondie,
Have been reading (most) of your thread and just wanted to wish you luck with the interviews and getting debt free. I am on my own journey, having cleared debts on a number of occasions but have ran them up again. Have subscribed to your thread and will keep reading. Good luck0 -
Helllloooo,
I have just spent most of my "working" day reading this diary lolI have been laughing out loud, reading snippets out to people in the office, it's great.
I am deffo gonna be subscribing and following your progress as we have alot in common.
I'm not blonde (unless it's sunny) but I have TWO cats to make up for it. A big cat called Phillip and a little kitten called Mike.
At work we were told a couple of weeks ago that we're "at risk" of redundancy so I'm glad I can read this thread - lots of interview advice around.
I also have a very uninformative OH. He is bad for just getting up, saying "see you later" and being shocked that I am wandering what he's doing. He always tries to convince me that he HAS told me he's going out, and he HAS told me he'll be bringing his PS3 mad friends back with him. Sigh. Gotta love them though, eh!
Anyway hope you don't mind me joining in the fun. I read loads of diaries and am terrible for lurking but you are all so funny I couldn't resist posting xx0 -
Blondie - Think she's ok now, DH was supposed to be going home on his dinner to see how she is and surprise, surprise I can't get hold of him:rolleyes: So shes probably absolutely fine and he doesn't think he needs to tell me. TROLL! lol
Yay another Catherine(spelt the proper way too).....Hiya:D I did have to laugh at your cats names tho, sorry:o And now I have to explain ..............Hubby loves Family Guy (explains a lot about his mentality!) and there's an episode where the mayor(?) goes around shooting cats or something and they're all called stuff like tiddles, winkles etc etc and theres one called Paul and he starts laughing (the Mayor not DH) and says who would call a cat by an human name.........cue the laughter from DH:D
Sorry I think I just made myself sound like a wack job:o
*Please, please let there be other FamilyGuy fans on this thread*

redstararnie76 - very very good idea about the phone call interviews! I would have saved enough to buy an all inclusive holiday to Marbella for the amount ive spent on travel.

Very nice to meet you all!
Having a cat hasnt been made part of the thread membership rules yet, but having 2 does put you in our 'crazy cat lady club' if you wish to join us??
Right, ive been to my sisters for a cup of tea (no biscuits were offered to me except Bourbons. Now bourbons are not even a biscuit they are that gross. So have called sister 'tight wad' and declared that i will not visit her again until suitable foodstuffs are offered) BOURBONS??!!!
Right, i have been sent a letter from interview i had a few weeks back 'sorry you have been unsuccessful (er, no sh*t sherlock) but you will be pleased to know you were the 2nd favourite for the role.'
ERM NOW THAT MAKES ME FEEL WORSE!!! TALK ABOUT RUBBING MY NOSE IN IT! :rotfl: ITS LIKE SAYING. 'YES YOU COULD HAVE WON THE LOTTO BUT YOU DIDNT' YOU WERE ONLY 6 NUMBERS SHORT THOUGH SO WELL DONE.'
Hmmmn anyhoo really need to finish another job application off then do EVIL washing up.

You'll be pleased to know I am also a Family Guy fan, although I do get a bit creeped out by Brian's crush on Louis! Hmmmm
I love it when people appreciate my cat's names, the vet always has a chuckle when we go. There are stories behind them though. Phillip is called Phillip because of the TV program 'The Mighty Boosh' (Naboo calms Howard down with a pictures of 2 kittens in a barrel, the one on the left is called Phillip). And Mike is called Mike because he's black and white, like the Michael Jackson song (but I didn't really want to run around the garden in my PJs shouting "MICHAEL JAAAACKSON" so I chose Mike)
I am so sad
If I ever get another kitten I will name it after foodstuffs. Going down the sandwich fillings (Marmite) route - I think Peanut (as in Peanut Butter, mmm) is a good'un?0
