  • Hi lovelies!!!!

I had the best time at Clacton!! The site we went to was huge!

I enjoyed all the rather shameful but great activities you do on a short break in the UK...ate fish n chips, played mini golf (and cheated while the others werent looking..), sat on the beach and got frostbite...

I played bingo with all the old grannies (i didnt win anything and at one point shamefully boo'd someone who shouted 'bingo' when they won the full house)

I got very very drunk saturday night, partly because i was on holiday and partly because the entertainment was so shocking that i had to drink to not want to top myself.

I have probably put on about 2 stone through eating puddings and because of the alcohol. Not good. Must be strict tomorrow and live off fruit and water for the rest of the week....:A

All in all a very good weekend!!!

On the job front i am STILL waiting to hear!!!

On Friday i went to meet the chairman, (i had a 40mins wait to meet him!!!) then i was running VERY late and drove at lightening speed to my sisters, almost killing two cyclists on the way (GERRR OFF THE ROAD!!!!)
So the recruitment agent informs me that i would hear TODAY but then i get a call saying that the man who interviewed me has had a busy day, an emergency of sorts (probably run out of hobnobs in the canteen) and i would hear tomorrow...

To an English ear, "pollack" sounds unfortunately like a slang word for testicles, as well being close to two other words used as insults, one of them racist.

What racist insult rhymes with pollack? Answers on a postcard... I'm sorry but in my opinion, asking for pollack is much more preferable than asking for a fillet of colon.

Gadzooks, eh? Now THAT is old school. I think the people who invented 'huzzah' probably told people who still said 'gadzooks' they were square while holding their finger and thumb in the L shape on their foreheads.

My dad still says 'shucks' which I quite like. He also says 'oy vey' despite not being remotely Jewish. Mad.

Welcome back Blondie! Are you sure you ate fish and chips, was it not Colin & Chips!! Can't believe you have still not heard about the job, oh well at least you have had a good holiday, caravans parks are great! Hope the weather was kind and you didn't get too frost-bitten :D

Well better go, glad I checked back before I logged off for the day. I am wondering whether to go to the loo before I leave, or risk driving home and getting stuck in a traffic jam, mmm think I better not take any chances!

Have a good night everyone - huzzah!! x
  • Welcome back Blondie..................Good to see you had a good time in Clacton :D And you can eat what you want on holiday without the guilt coz it's another one of those times when it's all negative calories..........besides shivering on the beach will probably have worked off any extra calories anyway:rotfl:

I can't believe you are still waiting to hear back GGGRRRRRRRRRRRR:mad: I bet it's some lame excuse about staff shortages or someones let him down etc etc However, if it is a hobnob shortage then I can definitely sympathise:D

Hey Blondie - Glad you haven't forgotten us! Shame on that Chairman for not letting you know right there on Friday....
All together now - 'Gadzooks, Mr Chairman...'
Rupe - not joining in with 'Gadzooks'? All I can say to that is 'Get thee to a nunnery!' :D and Huzzah Swinstie!
Ruby - from what I can remember of 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' (apart from oggling a young, shirtless Marlon Brando - in my defense, he was fairly hot then!) wasn't 'Pollack' used as an insult to Polish people?
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

I can't believe the chairman didn't let you know straight away! Gadzooks, I say!
But hopefully you will get some good news tomorrow- they obviously need you if they are having a crisis! Huzzah!

What is the aromatherapy spray for Laura? I've made an air freshner using vodka (cheap of course) and orange essential oil, it was quite good
It's a Lavender spray to spray on bed linen and such like, but guess you could also use it as an air freshener too. :D Only needed 15ml for 100ml spray so now have quite a lot of cheap vodka left (only got a 350ml bottle at least) suppose it'll be ok with coke.... doubt it'll hang around long enough for my spray to run out to make some more :D
