Empty loaf bags, what do you use yours for?

I use them for putting smelly waste in (onion waste, chicken carcass, etc.) so that they don't make the kitchen bin smell - especially when I've just put a new liner in! :beer:0

Please don't burn your plastic no matter what the chinese do as it will make you very ill. Friend of mine used to do that when he moved to a house with a fire and wondered why he was feeling dodgy. We could tell him as being unused to the fumes we felt ill straight away!
I always take all plastic that's like carrier bags to the supermarket recycling. Sainsburys don't do it in our area but Tesco does
Wanna know the best place to live in UK for recycling? Clackmannanshire!!!! Even picks up household batteries from the kerbside. Council makes it sooooooooo easy to recycle here!!:j :T0 -

I think your friend needed to get his lum swept. If he kept it clear it should draw nearly all the fumes out of the house!
I have been wondering though which is better for the environment. Sending plastics to landfill or burning them at home which might produce some heat for your home. Assuming there is no recycling available. Does anyone have any scientific advice?0 -

I use them for bread or to put veg or cheese in the fridge. I also use them for sandwich bags. I don't tend to have them hanging about. Just use them in a week or two and then thow away but I usually get 2 or 3 goes out of 1.
