As far as I am aware the only place you can check completed listings is the US as the facility is not available in the UK.
Unless that has changed in which case please post a link.

When you do a search on ebay, you can select 'completed listings' under the 'show only' box under 'preferences' which is on the left hand side.

Yep, just like Kirris says, completed listings is an invaluable tool and should never be overlooked.

i have 3 designer watches(2 armani 1 dior) and ebay was useless i got £20 for a louis vuitton one that cost me alot more than 10x that iv tried gumtree and no one seems interested i also have alot of designer bags too that are in my attic and i could do with the extra cash cos my bed just broke and every penny i have is going in the wedding fund any suggestions for stuff like that? i know the pawn or cash converters would take the watches but probably not for very much but they arent interested in bags

Excellent thanks for that. It must be a new thing since they changed search.

It is not new, it has certainly been around for the past 8 or 9 years since ebay started to get a real presence in the UK. I always check out things before listing to see what combination of item cost, p and p etc works best .

For selling kids and baby stuff, I usually use NCT sales - they can be a bit of a hassle untill you get into sorting your stuff but I normally make about £40 a sale ( small toys, clothes and bits of equipment only).
Find I get better prices than Ebay and stuff sells

Hi all,
my top tip for selling stuff for free is netmums.com. You have to register but can then find stuff For Sale and even Free! You can also give away unwanted stuff or sell it locally - each member gets signed up to the borough they live in - i.e. Havering, or the county. Then people can pick up larger items themselves as its all local.

Another option - if you work for the council you can access the council intranet which usually has a buy and sell forum. I got a complete swing/slide set for my kids for only £25 - bargain!

The only trouble with netmums is that a lot (most?) of the people on there want stuff for free, in my area anyway.
