Also - since nothing at your address and no vehicle belobgs to your son the bailiff cannot touch anything i believe. Neither do they have the power of forced entry for these cases i believe. best not to open the door anyway though.
If your own vehicle or any on your drive are clamped or removed - object immediately.

Hi, i presume this is the post that you are reffering to, this was done by my daughter who at the time needed urgent advice as she was being messed about with her job, she got the advice she needed and the matter ws sorted and dealt with a while ago, I wasnt aware it was wrong for her to use my user name as she did not have one of her own:confused:
  • I have since been in contact with Northhampton county court who have stated that they have not issued a warrant in my sons name, and I have also been intouch with the hire company who are going to ring me back layer on, I have also found a site where there have been a number of complaints about Jacobs Bayliffs, so I will just wait now and see what they say when they return tomorrow as stated on the removal of goods notice.

Hi, no bells at all, considering on speaking to Jacobs solicitors on the phone they said it was a Toyota Yaris , But yes you are right, just checked it myself, never thought of that:( anyway it seems that the baylifs are returning tomorrow, perhaps they are coming to tell me they got the name of the car wrong when I spoke to them, thanks anyway.

Bailiffs cannot remove random goods that don't belong to the debtor. Feel free to ignore them if they won't go away once you've explained that the person they're after doesn't live there. If they won't leave, or if they threaten to take goods anyway, phone the police and explain that you've got thieves trespassing on your property and you're worried that things might turn nasty.

Don't let them in the house whatever you do.
