bayliff call for parking ticket

Hi, I have just had a visit from a bayliff for a parking ticker for my son who left this address 3 years ago, the parking ticket was from March 2007 and not his car, anyway I told them he does not live at my address any more and that the car on the warrant was not his, and just got the look of "shes lying" can a parking ticket be chased up in this way as it has been 1 yr 11 months since the ticket was issued, a ticket I must say that my son never received a letter about, as up until he got a fixed address 3 months ago all of his mail came here,

  • Thanks for that, took me a while but got it right hopefully.
  • Good try, remove the reg number for safety.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • Thanks for that but we have no idea who the reg belongs to, apparently the parking ticket dept say its from a hire car?
  • That's interesting, has your son hired a car? If not maybe others can assist further.

  • No, he never hired a car as far as I can remember, but they still say the debt is his, I have contacted wolverhampton cc parking but they are as much help as a bag of soggy crisps,

You need to urgently ask Wolves what responses the Hire Co have made to them. All correspondence would have gone to the hire co and it is they that have apparently named your son.

when they did so, documents should have been redirected to your son by Wolves.

As this didn't happen you need to contact Northampton TEC immediately - the issuer of the warrant.
You need to make a Statutory Declaration that no documents were received.

You need to get the Warrant turned over and bailiff action suspended in the meantime - QUICKLY.
