I would avoid betting on Big Brother (and indeed any reality shows) as contestants can be removed/added at will.

U4EA - where are you getting most of your monthly profit? Sign ups, reloads, arbs, casinos etc?

Lately it's all been arbs and reloads. I haven't done a new account in a while and I have never tried casinos. I intend on hitting a lot more new accounts very soon though. I have neglected them as I have been very busy with various aspects of MBing/my life lately but I continue to progress daily.

The £50K target looks improbable now but I am very happy with what I have achieved so far and my plans for the future look good. This project has improved my life substantially. Or perhaps the other way round - my life has improved substantially and this project in an indicator of this.

The last 2 months and the next 2 months will be slow but sure. I will not being doing anything massive other than planning to execute a major change in my life. After that is done, the £50K target will be examined again as I will be in a position to work towards it more realistically.

In the meantime I just continue to try and de-complexify my life, do things that make my life better and easier every day and plan on what I will do the following day.

    Slowly but surely.

I just wanted to say thanks U4EA for the inspiration, I am now making a concerted effort to sort my finances, given myself a deadline and I am trying to achieve an extra £10 per day to pay of my debts... turning out to be harder than it sounds!

Thanks again and good luck with getting to your target :p

    Good for you!

This whole approach has made me improve my finances, work position, domestic position, health, intelligence, goals, future etc.

Goals like this can be daunting but I always found this to be a good thing to consider...

... there is a former Ultimate Fighting champion called Randy Couture. He won the world title 3 times at light heavyweight and 3 times at heavyweight, being the underdog in every title winning fight. One thing that is most notable about Couture is that he achieved his fame late in life (roughly between the ages of 35 and 45). Having wrestled since childhood, he had been a competitive wrestler for many years and was at one point an Olympic alternative. Whether competing or not, Couture always kept himself in excellent condition and lived very cleanly. He is also a very intelligent fighter and constantly improved his skill set and physical tools as he got older.

Now, Couture said something that I think is very important when trying to improve your situation - he says never try to improve more than 1% a day, but ALWAYS remain consistent with this improvement. He said that if you aim for more than that, you will often find yourself failing/losing belief in your goals/burning out/becoming frustrated. Never do to much each day but never fail to do something each day.

My advice would be to de-clutter your life as much as you can. Anything from throwing out/ebaying/Oxfaming old stuff you have around your house to scanning (then destroying) paperwork and backing it up on secure DVDs (something I am doing right now) to looking at all your finances and trying to consolidate or making sure all your clothes are washed, dried and ironed. The process can be a long one - preparation will lead to simplification which leads to higher returns on effort/resource expenditure, which leads to more/better achievement.

    Hi all

Just thought I'd come down here and see how it's going. I'm still quite new to these boards but there is a nice friendliness about this thread :-)

You seem to be doing well U4EA that's great! And PP you do too! I've got back into mb these last couple of weeks and just started daily clicks too. I really can't imagine myself ever making more than £100-£200 a month though. Do you both do a lot of arbing? How do you know what's a palpable arb and what's not? And do you spend a long time looking for them?

To Ginga, you should definitely start mb. Make sure you understand it and start small but it's a good way to make more money!

Just had a quick read and would like to share some money making schemes i do.
Roulette is a great way to make money if you have a decent float.
I only ever bet on black or red. I start off by betting £20 on black, if it wins, great £20 up. If it loses, then double your bet to £40 (Change from black is your own choice), if you lose again, double to £80, lose again double to £160. If you keep doubling your stake if you dont win, WHEN you do win you are always winning. Once you win always start again from £20. (Or more if you can afford it)
Be aware of the table limit and make sure it is a reputable site.
I find this method works for me, but obviously the lesson is dont be greedy and know when to walk, dont ride you luck.

Another good investment is Shares. Websites like, www.iii.co.uk, www.advfn.co.uk, www.lse.co.uk offer some great boards to get tips from other investers, but obviously as they say DYOR (Do Your Own Research)
I recently invested in a company called Sarium at .18p, over the course of a a month on 2 maybe it was at .57p, needless to say i sold everything and made a great profit.
With shares you only lose if you withdraw your money when your down, so be prepared to leave your money in if you dont want to take a loss.

    Hope that was of interest

The previous posters advice on roulette should be ignored. The house has an edge on Roulette of between 1.35% and 5.4%. The amount wagered to money lost ratio on any casino game will always approach the house edge. That means on your standard roulette table in a local casino that £2.70 will be lost for every £100 wagered. This is a mathematical fact and the only thing that martin gayling does is to ensure that when you do lose it is a huge life destroying amount rather than a small loss, which is what will happen with level staking. The only way to beat casinos is through bonuses or counting cards as that gives the player an edge over the house. There is a good article on this subject here:
    http://wizardofodds.com/gambling/bettingsystems.html

Tea palps are easy to spot. If the odds are way out of line then it would be wise not to bet on it. A common thing that would be palped is when a trader enters the odds the wrong way around such as entering 25 instead of 2.5. That bet will obviously be cancelled. If you want to see a breakdown of what people can earn then have a look through this thread on TGT. There are people making over 2k a month through low risk activities.

Glad to see your doing well U4E and would not be bothered about not meeting the challenge. I would be staggered if someone could make that in a year without an excellent paid job, a large float to mb with or some genius business idea.

    Hey TD.

The answer to a lot of questions about MBing is that there is no real answer, especially to the questions of time spent and amounts made. However, I will chip in as best as I can.

Unless you have a float of about £26.45, there is NO GOOD REASON why you are only making £100-200 per month. PP and I currently have similar floats (around £3K+) and we can both make £1000+ per month. Things have been slightly slower for me recently as I have liquidity problems due to a messed up bank transfer and have been very, very busy with organising a few major things in my life. Thankfully, that all pretty much ended today.

Just on account opening offers and reloads, you can make £450+ per month easily enough. I do arb, as does PP. However, I am moving more away from this and onto account opening offers as they take less time and it's a more profitable way to MB as it gives you the sign-up bonus, reloads, more things to arb etc.

Time is an important question - not just time spent but how well you spend the time. Arbs can be found at different times on different markets. When I first starting MBing, I was TERRIBLE at finding arbs.. I would go all day and not get one. Now, if I realy apply myself, I think clearing £20 a day on arbs is probably pretty doable, depending on liquidity/float/different markets available etc.

The secret to MBing is like everything else - put in the time. If there is something you are not familiar with, read up on it. It's all there in the guides. Feel free to ask question to myself, PP or the people on the GIOL board in the newbies question thread. But please remember to never divulge ANYTHING that is traceable to the bookie in question.

    So...

What size of float do you have?
How many bookies are you on?
How many hours do you put it?

Do you use the Ultimatcher? Consolidating your financial picture is essential... good housekeeping will make it so much easier.
