O2 accounts with carphonewarehouse
I am thinking of getting SE Xperia through carphone warehouse on O2. I knew that Carphone warehouse was managing some O2 accounts by themselves. Is it still the case or not? O2 seems to provide a better customer service and so I would prefer O2 itself to manage the account than CPW.
Thank you.

It will be with O2 direct - though cpw may well try to "upgrade" you themselves at the end of the contract.0

@Silva,
I see that you are considering taking a contract with CPW, from my personal experience (and many others if you do a CPW search on this and other forums) I say.. DON'T!
They have the worse customer service I have ever dealt with in the many years I have used a mobile phone, even for the most basic problem. They ignore letters, never call back and you will never be able to talk to anyone in authority.
Even though they act as repair agent for many networks the standard of work on a repair is bad. My own handset came back in worse condition that I left it, of course they denied it.
Finally when your contract is up and you can't wait to leave, you will then have the fun and games to try and get your PAC to transfer your number. First you have to contact a special number where they try to stop you from leaving, then you have to ring another number on a certain day to get a special code to send to an address in Southampton, to which they sometimes say that they have never received your letter.
Dont take my word only search this and other forums.

New contracts that are taken thru the CPW are generally managed by o2 customer service now. The majority of the older customers would have been managed by the CPW group.
Be warned though, they'll offer you a free upgrade in about 4 months.. normally just takes a new contract out though!0 -
What happens if you have a cpw group O2 contract with O2 as the service provider and you upgrade through CPW. Are you still with O2 as service provider or are you now with CPW?0

So your original contract was managed by CPW? I imagine it would continue to be managed through CPW. If it's managed by o2, it'll still be managed by o2. Basically all it says on the customers account is CPW next to the upgrade order, everything else is the same..0
