Some people are never happy. First they claimed there was no non-alcohol option, now that M&S have included a juice option it appears this is less of a deal than those who take the wine. Another reason for a whinge.
The people in customer services must see it all.Mortgage free

Doesn't ''appear'' less of a deal, it is less of a deal. Presume you are an alcohol drinker then?0

Why compare it with the deal that includes wine ? It is either a good deal on its own or it's not. If it's not, don't buy it.
There are people who get a pay rise and are happy with it, then when they find out some one has got more, even if they deserve more, they suddenly are unhappy.Mortgage free

I have emailed Stuart Rose re: the raw deal non-alcohol drinkers always get, and recieved the following reply :-
Maybe if anyone else is not fond of alcohol and would like an alternative choice to the paltry £1.99 juice, eg: chocolates, they could also email or write to stuart. Power to the tee totallers I say!!!!!!!!!:T
The juice is on my receipt at £3.20 not £1.99

If you don't drink alcohol then the included bottle of wine is no deal at all, really. Yes it's nice to be able to give it for presents but it's not a money saver...I don't normally give away two bottles of wine every second week. But we really like the orange juice so for us, that's a good deal.
It's not just about the extra pennies. I don't chose my options on the basis of how much they were originally. (Except the chickens...) I chose the things I like and will use, and they still work out at a good deal for me. £8 chicken, £3 worth of orange juice and the salad and profiteroles are effectively free. Best of all, they'll get used and enjoyed.Val.0 -
I rarely go in to town on Mondays but happened to yesterday and found that many of the items from the weekend deal were half price with several days before the sell by date.
I missed out on most as the shelves were empty but got the turkey breast roast at 2.75 and strawberry trifle at 99p.
Also had the trout and the fudge cake at 1/2 price.0 -
anyone know when the next one is?? i missed this one as my little girl had chicken pox and couldnt get to town

I don't really understand the complaining

it's intended to be a wine and meal deal, complaining about the wine would be like complaining if vodka had a 50% off deal but lemonade didn't, or that sausages are buy one pack get one free but carrots aren't.
Sainsburys currently have an offer on their lamb, I don't eat lamb, does that mean I should demand an equal deal on chicken?
Sometimes an offer might not include your specific tastes, that's life!
It's nice that m&s have included a non-alcoholic option, those who don't feel it is worth it don't have to buy it.0
