The supervisor in our local M&S store who I dealt with told me that until yesterday they had only been sent small chickens. Yesterday she said they had been sent some medium ones. She had no idea what they would get today. They aren't told in advance.0

The wine I got was the Cote Du Rhone (£4.49) but neither of us drinks at home, so my friend will buy that off me for £3ish.
I have emailed Stuart Rose re: the raw deal non-alcohol drinkers always get, and recieved the following reply :-

Maybe if anyone else is not fond of alcohol and would like an alternative choice to the paltry £1.99 juice, eg: chocolates, they could also email or write to stuart. Power to the tee totallers I say!!!!!!!!!:T

I don't know.....a chicken for around £6 + wine for around £5 + starter for around £3 and a pud for around £4....good value in anyones book.
I agree that they shouldn't have advertised one kind of chicken and only sold a different one but hey, it's still worth more than £10 so a good deal.0 -

Even a different option of juice would be good - neither of us likes orange juice and the assumption is always made that if you don't drink alcohol you like orange juice. Oddly, the only orange-juice type drink I have ever liked is Bucks Fizz

Unfortunately the juice option makes the deal a lot less worthwhile, as with juice my total would have been about £12, with wine £15. A saving of £2 is hardly worth it, so I get the wine and it sits there until I take it to a party or give as a present. Chocolates would be a much better choice.
I'm not that optimistic, but we'll wait and see what happens. If anyone else wants to drop him an email the address is stuart.rose@marks-and-spencer.com. If a few people write they might take more notice.0 -
I like the twin pack of juice, have to say. I usually go in just for the big chickens so the extras are a bonus. On Friday I got two £8.50+ chickens, two salad bowls, two profiterole pyramids and two twin packs of orange juice for £20 so I was happy.
Went back in this am and there were shelves of the chickens at 50% off to clear so they must have overstocked. I got three £7-ish ones, to give me 3 for around £11. Bargain. We eat a lot of chicken but since the M&S deals have started we're all Oakham chicken snobs, even the cats.Val.0
