Getting number plates made

I've bought a personal number and need plates made, my local suppliers are motor world and kwik fit but if I use one of these will it have there logo/name on the plates in small writing too? I just want it to be plain.

  • Sorry, part of the legal requirement now is to have the manufacturers details at the bottom. Can't make them plain anymore!!!

  • Thats correct, no point looking around for something plain, you wont get it.

I got mine from halfords, and you can barely seen their logo on it. It's tiny and in very, very pale grey print. (That's not why I bought from them - what's the problem with a supplier's logo on it? I just noticed it was barely legible.)
  • get them from ebay, half the cost, no logo etc on

And if the OP's car is registered after 1st Sept 2001, then her car will fail the MOT.....

  • I didn't know it was a legal requirement, my husband works for police so it will have to be legal!! that means ebay ones aren't legal doesn't it!

I have never had a problem with passing MOT without the tiny name identifier at the bottom of the plate.

They get away with speeding so why not number plates? It's just a case of waving the warrent card and he'll be on the way.
