A fortnight in NYC is too long, it has been said on here before by a few people.

I personally would advise going to 2/3 places. Niagara and Washington spring to mind.

I visit Manhattan every year with work, and always add 10-14 days personal holiday onto the end of the work bit. I Love NYC and have never been short of something to do/see/buy. Depends how much you love cities I suppose.
NYC has the ultimate in the "whats around that corner" syndrome.
I must stomp miles and miles on every visit.

i love NYC but i can't see what you could do for a full fortnight. or i suppose i should say with a fortnight to spend in north eastern usa why would you want to limit yourself to just staying in NYC ? even if you didn't want to drive there's loads of cheap internal flights , deals on amtrak , greyhound buses. as a minimum i'd go to washington if this was my 1st visit and even though i've seen niagara falls numerous times now it still amazes me to see them ( combine that with a quick trip up to toronto ).
i'm being unfair if that's your thing but i personally couldn't recommend spending 14 days in NYC to a stranger ...hope that doesn't offend

    My thoughts exactly.

Niagara's a great place we had 3 days there and loved it.

    Each to their own though.

would you recomend 10 days? i dont want to go to come back lol Have thought about going to a couple of places. Never been to the USA before so any advice you can give would be helpful. NYC is one place i would love to go as i love citys, and tbh i can get alot of pics (amature photographer). but if there is any other places you can suggest that would be good to see.

It depends what your into, we went to nyc (5 days) then south to a theme park (2 days) then south-er to a rodeo (1 day) then to washington.

Actually you can get day trips out by bus to these places and Niagara from NYC.

oh now that sounds good, can you tell me how i would go about doing that please? Im not in to theme parks much, but i do like views, ie i would rather spend a day looking at the NY skyline rather than in a theme park. lol, to some people thats sad, but i am sad so :P LOL!!!
