Hi there
This is standard and looks the same as what both me and hubby received when they were dealing with ours.
If you any further info to forward to them, then send it on, but other than that, wait for a response, hopefully you should hear by their deadline or before, but if not then move on straight to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
That second paragraph worries me or should it be the opposite?!
My question is what should I do? Two weeks is up this week. Do I:
- go ahead and contact FOS and don't say anything to them
- do I call them and say 5th of June is a joke
- or do I write another letter giving them 2 weeks after which I'll be contacting FOS
What do you think?Official DFW Member no:4100 -
Di thank you for such a fast response. So you think I need to wait till 5th of June?Official DFW Member no:4100

Hi hun
As they do have 8 full weeks as a given timescale, this is more than ample time for them to resolve these issues.
They have given you their own timescale now on when they should get back to you with a response, as they are stating they are looking into your case, but will need this amount of time to do this.
In that particular letter, they should have also mentioned the FOS, if the 8 weeks have gone by anyway, as you are entitled to do so then.
The choice is yours now then I would say if the 8 weeks have already gone by, if not then wait until the given time, and if you do have any further information that you may have missed on the first letter then let them know, it may strengthen your case.
But many will say its a stalling tactic, where I must agree in most cases.
You can if you want to contact the FOS by ringing them and see what they think and take it from there;):

you talk of contacting the ombudsman, in my experience which has spanned from 2007 you will get no joy there, I have fought a case in my own name and after loosing that case was told by the fso that my husband could claim in his name, we have just had the adjudicators response and after giving them every piece of evidence and claiming maladministration, withholding information under the data protection act, and under the banking code of practice (putting things right) they have stated that I have not provided any more information to back my claim and they offer £250 this the original offer my wife was awarded and turned down. The fso are supposed to be impartial but from my experience they always lean towards the bank!0

Hi there
So sorry to hear of your experience, but thanks for sharing this.
I know lloyds themselves are rejecting approx 95% of these complaints direct.
We were one of those turned away by Lloyds and the FOS did finally resolve this, however, I had little information as it was from a Credit card PPI sale undertaken in 2001.
Again so sorry to hear you've been let down. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

:money: I have supplied every piece of evidence and can prove all of my claims but the adjudicator in her response does not mention Banking Code of Practice and that after 8 years they did not put thing right neither have they since 2007, until I advised them of their mistake!
Blimey, this does not seem right.
I thought if you were not happy with the adjudicator that was dealing with your complaint, you could ask something else to look into this for you, someone a little higher than themselves, will try to find the details, or someone may post up with these, but have you taken this anywhere else since, such a solicitor, or maybe the CAB or so?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
